    EWC Tea Late in Flower

I'm sure this has been covered before, but I couldn't find anything super helpful. I've been using a compost tea recipe from Tim Wilson's microbe organics site for all of my outdoor plants' lives, and they seem to love it. Some of them are now 2-3 weeks from harvest. Can I give them another...

    New England outdoors 2018

I was in a similar position a few weeks ago but instead of actually removing them I ended up just cutting large holes at the bottom/sides of my 5 gallon buckets to let the roots grow through. Then "planted" the buckets into the regular garden a few inches deep. Seems to be working out ok!

    ganga girls northern grow

How do you plan on trimming? Isn't it going to take like 20 hours for each plant?

    New England outdoors 2018

Is there a generally agreed upon best preventative for mold/mildew for us outdoor growing New Englanders? I see Green Cure mentioned probably the most often. Is there anything in it other than potassium bicarbonate or can I just buy some powder and mix my own?

    Increasing Pressure for Compost Tea

I had a thought the other day based on 2 axioms. 1. Aerobic organisms grow better when there is more oxygen dissolved in the tea. 2. Increased pressure means a higher amount of dissolved oxygen. I am using 2 crappy aquarium bubblers to make my compost tea. Some places say that they don't output...

    Hormones...?

What business is it of yours what people do with their bodies? Similarly, why do you care what people do with their plants? Is the use of hormones really in a different league than using synthetic ferts to increase yield? @NaturalFarmer that is a really cool video. I wish I was more...

    Have u ever flowered outdoors

I am also a noob, so take this with a grain of salt, but I believe your plant started to flower because it was put out a little too early, and then as the days got longer it realized that it should go back to vegging. If you are at 13 hours of sunlight by the end of July, your plant is gonna...

    maine clone company

Sorry to bump an old thread, but this is the first thing that comes up when googling "Maine Clone Company Reviews". Anyway, I am in Maine and bought 6 clones from them. They were super helpful with all of my first time grow questions. I don't have much to compare it to, but all of the clones...

    New England outdoors 2018

Hey thanks for the insightful reply. The idea of home breeding strains that do especially well in your own climate is so cool. Maybe I will try such things next year. I bought clones from a local breeder with a good rep. I wanted to try as many strains as possible so I have 1 plant each of...

    New England outdoors 2018

Is flowering this early common in New England? I'm pretty far north and still getting a lot of sunlight. This is my first grow and I figured flowering wouldn't start for about another month.

Yellow Rings on Leaves with Green Inside

Now that seems more likely! I can't post pictures yet apparently but I googled and think those little rings could be egg circles, called "fairy rings"

Yellow Rings on Leaves with Green Inside

Confirmed not hardwater spots. Used a vinegar remedy to try to remove them with no luck. Also, the yellow part of the ring is an indent into the leaf. I am now assuming that it is some kind of pest. I am recording the number of leaves afflicted and the severity of the affliction. I hit them...

Yeah I definitely think that's something different than what I'm dealing with.

Yellow Rings on Leaves with Green Inside

That was the first thing I considered but I really don't think this is what it is. The spots on my plants are all hollow rather than filled.

Yellow Rings on Leaves with Green Inside

Hmm ok. Tomorrow I am going to wash with vinegar to see if it's just hardwater. While we're on the subject, is there a preferred method for testing pH outside? A friend gave me some pool pH test strips but they have a pretty low level of precision. When I go to amazon, all I see are 3 in 1...

If so I will feel pretty dumb but relieved. Thank you for all of the help everybody!

It's in soil. I didn't think that purpling stem was something to be concerned about?

Yellow Rings on Leaves with Green Inside

Hmm I didn't notice those until you pointed it out. It's dark now but tomorrow I will examine more closely tomorrow.

Here's a much better pic along with under the leaf and the whole plant.
