I completely understand about the soil part; my soil is half organic, half regular potting mix without any sort of nutrient or anything in it....plus mixed with some perlite. I haven't completely decided about the nutes....I might wait another time or two before I do I also might not wait...

CFLs will work Buy the 'cool blue' ones for vegging, the 'warm white' for flowering. The more/bigger, the better. For soil, don't get the kind that 'feeds for months' or whatever. Get something organic. Get some perlite as well, maybe some blood meal.

Just be patient as mentioned, try not to mess with them too much. I've noticed to just let them do their thing unless you're rotating the pots or watering. Keep the pics coming, how old are they to the day? Are you still using nutes?
