I grew them in the ground last year and they got huge. They were 7ft tall and bushy, but I made a mistake planting them like two feet away from a wall. They didn't get much sun on that side. Perhaps I should try both ways and see what's best.

I totally agree with you about having the advantage of moving the plant around, since shitty weather can harm them.
