The next-time you troll know-it-all's run out of intelligent things to say, then resort to juvenile games and challenges instead, maybe you should brush up on basic horticulture yourselves, instead of suggesting others do so...
And maybe if you put some aeration in that suffocating, compacted to shit no-till soil, you think you know so much about, but keep running into problems and blaming calcium carbonate in your water, your future grows might get better. :p
Look man. It is a fact and it's good watering practice.
The same way mineral deposits are created in the soil horizon is effectively the same thing happening in pots of soil that don't drain. (it's chronic overwatering)
All those silts and minerals (salts) have to go somewhere. Otherwise you...
Know how many microbes are in your soil at any1time...an unfathomable amount. A few mL of water out the bottom is so insignificant. There will be more microbes in your soil half an our later than before you watered.
"Firstly this guide only applies to our living soil product. Don't try to apply this to other brands of living soil as it may cause issues for you "
rack off with that bs.
Let dry out a bit. I really do think the bottom of your pots a bit soggy.
Might be a bit of rot. Tea will only make that kind of thing worse if the roots aren't breathing.
And people amend potting mixes and soils with coco all the time, so what's your point?
Common sense coco is different to soil, but the properties it contains, required to grow a plant are the same.
Ok, so to hit you with the same logic...with your soil, what's to stop problems occurring for the very same reason you let coco drain, if you never do the same with your soil?
Bingo, there you go.
It's so much more important than growers on mj forums realise.
I implore you to read any horticultural literature for container gardening, it will tell you the very same things.
