Yea roots hang and are misted, but eventually the roots will reach the water in the res and submerge in it.

I have a 30gal tote res, submerged pump that connects to a pvc h pipe that supplies misters. 400w mh/hps light with reflector. I thought it was aero, maybe I'm wrong, just making sure my thought process is right on this.

Ur growing dwc tho right? Mine is an active pump setup, pump in bottom of res, passes water up to h pipe of 1/2 in pvc, and through mist heads in the pvc. At a later point the roots will actually hang in the water while being misted above the water. When that happens growth normally explodes...

i just took the case off of it the guy i bought it from said to go ahead and try, i made sure all the wires were connecting good, which they were, plugged back up and still nothing :/. Looks like the ballast is bad ty guys for your help
