Question about "tea" (not tea) and aeration.

Sounds good, thanks. I'll get the details from the Earth Juice site and see how it works out.

Question about "tea" (not tea) and aeration.

I've started adding malted barley powder (5g/10L) and seaweed extract (1-2-5, 20-25g/10L) to what used to be chemical nutrient mix for my coco plants. It seems fine so far but it hasn't been long enough to really tell. During the heat wave, some of the buckets developed a little bit of foam. I...

Earth Juice users: advice on aerating hydro/organic combo (dumb question).

I've started messing around with organics in my Coco grow on a couple of my plants. I'm adding about 20g of 1-2-5 Seaweed extract and 5 grams of malted barley powder per ten litres of water, in addition to potassium silicate and a GH micro clone. It's only been ten days so it's too early to...

Yellowing between veins and on edges of top leaves

Thanks for that. I'll bump up the epsom salts a bit and see how things go. I thought I had noticed a bump to my yield when I switched to bigger pots, but there's too much variability to my grows to draw any real conclusions.

Yellowing between veins and on edges of top leaves

The pots are 15 liter. There's about 7.5kg/16lb of coco in each pot when fully saturated. I would say that you're right, and the pots are a bit undersized. I flipped late and they got bigger than planned, and I didn't have enough coco to fill the pots all the way in the first place. But they...

Yellowing between veins and on edges of top leaves

Humidity has been around 50-60%. Heat just spiked so we're 24-29C/75-84F but until a few days ago more like 20-25c/68-77F. Both of my indicas have this, one has for weeks, the other one just started showing it.

Yellowing between veins and on edges of top leaves

Some of my upper fan leaves are getting this. Coco, almost 40 days since the flip to 12/12. Feed every watering, 20% runoff. At the flip I was (from the labels): N-150 P2O5-50 K2O-100 C-120(high, kind of hard to fix with what I have on hand, for now) Mg-20(Low, because I had a bad info on Mg%...

Anyone ever try to use malted barley powder instead of pond enzyme?

I've been seeing the organic guys talk about malted barley powder for a while, and when I was looking for some pond enzyme to clear the roots from my coco I saw that a lot of it uses barley enzyme as well. I mixed a bunch of it into a batch of used coco that I planted into. The plants starved...

    Purple stems, over/underfeeding

Thanks! I'll try bumping one plant with a little calimagic, and see if that spruces it up. I've got a few plants, so I can try different fixes on different plants.

    Purple stems, over/underfeeding

No, but almost. My local water reports (when they published them online) were pretty uniformly low in everything. My Bluelabs Truncheon doesn't register anything in normal tap water.

    Purple stems, over/underfeeding

Right now it's going in about pH 6.0 and runoff is about 5.6. I used to pH my water to around 7.0 but it didn't seem to fix it, and runoff was still around 5.6.

    Purple stems, over/underfeeding

I'm not 100% sure if the red stems themselves are an issue. I've never had healthy plants and I'm always trying different things to sort them out, and I've been focused on the red stems lately. I boosted bloom a bit and they turned green again (just the stems, not the leaf stalks). But maybe...

    Purple stems, over/underfeeding

I'm trying to get my feeding dialed in and keep having issues. Plants are about two weeks into bloom, the stems were going a bit purple. I raised the bloom formula a bit, and the purple started going out of the stems, but now I'm getting burned tips AND yellowing leaves, at what I think are low...
