as in the seeds haven't broke the surface ? then leave them in the dark, on top of your hot water heater tank is a nice warm spot. If they've just sprouted you can put them in FULL SUN.

you do not HAVE to change and it's from MH (6500 K) to HPS anyways. Start your seeds with 6500 K cfls when they're a couple of weeks old switch to the HPS, I 'd get the 400 watt, better selection of bulbs when you have more money and want to upgrade. Fems are 100 % female or you got ripped off.

those seeds will be normal (male & female) but maybe tend to hermie easily.

you can't see mites "run away" they are the size of pepper specks if not smaller even. you most likely threw away a perfectly healthy plant
