Can anybody say something good or bad about Seoul Semiconductor cobs? Seems like they can be competitive to Vero's, CXB's? Also their price is very sweet but the dc voltages on powerful cobs are weird.

While everybody r in rush with 3590's, i'm building a lower budget project with 3x2540's (1x5000k(W4)+2x3000k(V4)). How do you think will LPC-150-1400 be perfect choice considering low budget idea, or it's better looking for HLG-120H-C1400B? I expect about 38% efficiency at 1400mA

I think its enough. Can capton reduce cob thermal condition? I heard some of CXA2***'s UNDER LENS with holder had evaporated phospor or some kind of condensate on lens.

A question to active cooling led users :shock: Many of us are using CPU coolers, so wouldn't it be better if the fan is reversed to make it blow up than to the sides, especially when your exhaust is at the top.

Are you kidding me?! A tape?! Even thermal Kapton, it's not a toy, but expensive light source. I saw, someone here using holders for cxa's, looks solid.

What thermal adhesive do you use guys? There is no holes in cxa's, so it cannot be secured by screws.

I thought 2-step is better than 4-step.

Thanks man! As i understood from the link above 4-step is better in situations where different levels of luminosity are used. Dimming etc. So it's a better choice for growing?

Why is all talking about 3000k? 2700K has a better hit to 650-660nm, though loosing 20-25% in flux isn't it better for plants?
