if you have temp problems with what i'll assume are 4 120 watt equivalent bulbs than you have poor ventaltion really when ever you have temp problems you need to move more air.

It wont hurt anything I use to grow cheaply and had light leaks and never had any problems but it does effect yield and transition time from veg and flower but not to bad. I would however spend some time trying to eliminate the light leaks. Good luck

I would run two 400hps and 1 400mh as you will be able to cover the area more completely. With a setup like that and good ventilation system (cause they're going to make a lot of heat) your end up with some good shit. Good Luck
