update they all have shown MINI pistils on 1 node near the top which should designate it is a female, so we are 3/3 for females hopefully i do have a magnifying glass also. only time will tell, im going to brazil on Friday though :/ the mrs. will be responsible for the girls while im gone lucky...

+1 to BUDDZY thats what im using minus perlite and my plants are thriving. and its ur first grow dont feel bad, this is my 2nd attempt and i learned so much from my first time. you live and learn my friend, especially with this hobby so many variables to be accounted for, but it is addicting lol.
