About done with my first grow. Was strickly CFL from start to finish, going from 6.5k to 2.7k for flower. I must say, not bad compared to ALL the reviews, pics and videos I've seen when comparing HID to CFL. I would say (just estimating) that i have about an ounce and a half right now on my one...

Bagseed...Lights are no further than 2-3 inches, actually burnt one a bit.

After recieving some advice fromforummembers, i have up'd the light to 10-300w equivelant CFL's for a total of 39k lumens on an area of about 2 X 2 for one plant. Will this be enough to thicken this plant up. Also using a MG 15-30-15, is this OK? Please don't smash me too hard for the CFL...

I am a noob grower,but everytimeI sprayed mine it was "mid day" for the plant. i guess it absorbed as much as it could then the rest evaporated. Never had any problems with spraying. JMO

Yes, i understand. Each 23w bulb i have is rated at 1850 lumens... multiply that by 8 BULBS = 14.8k. Then add the other 2 bulbs which are rated at 3.1k apiece and tah-dah...21k. i think we were on different pages of the thought process, it's cool, and again,i appreciate the advice.

well, I was thinking with the 2 X 2 area, there would be SOME loss, but not to the degree i think you may be suggesting. But, then again, i am still learning, thank you for the input!
