I am on my first grow as well...using CFL none the less. Dude, I went with 6500 spectrum compact flouro's (23watt...100w equivelent X 4) for veg, then went [2]43w/200w, [8] 26w/100w for a total of 294w/1200w from CFL's, works out to 21k lumens at 2700k for flowering. Seems to be working "OK"...

I have the top lights about 3 inches away (have to adjust daily) and 2 others on each side to hit the lower portions. Temps are a steady 78 lights on , and about 70 with them off.

I am using a total of 21k lumens of 2700 spectrum on a space about 2' X 2'... From what I can tell (compared to others I've seen), they don't seemed as stretched as they could be. Of course i am a noob :(

Hey, i am on my first grow, and i had those damn things on my plant for a bit. I went to Wally world (of all places) and got some stuff called Spectracide. I used it as directed three times about 3 days apart each use, and haven't seen them since. Apparently it worked. :)

oh...and will this thing thickin up, or just be a bunch of nugs?

I had started another thread, but had since added new pics, and people had already quit looking at the old thread. Just wanted some honest opinions of this plant at 3 1/2 week flowering... fire away!

yeah, well maybe on the next grow. I have a 400w HPS/MH combo system priced out, so I can change bulbs from veg to flower. I know the yield will probably be low this way with CFL's, just hope I've done enough for good potency. It's for personal use only, so quality over quantity is perfectly...

Didn't even know what LST was, (n00b first grow) but it looks like a very interesting technique. I think I may actually try that on my next grow, and get some reflective material as well. I appreciate the recommendations. I've read as much as I thought I possible could, but I am learning...

Sorry, dont have a camera for pics at the moment, but they are about 2 feet tall. I checked on them today, and just over night even, they started geting the little hairs on about half the node area's. Not sure if I wasn't looking hard enough or if they just spurted out in the past day or so...
