Outdoor smart pots, looking for feedback

If you're going to leave the pots on cement, you'll probably still need to water often. Supposedly smart pots will dry out faster than a hard pot. So when my buddy started using smart pots he also bought Zeba Quench (all organic) and added it to the soil. Between the 2 he had great results and...

    Carport GreenHouse 2011

I'm sorry to see that there won't be a 2012 Carport thread this year, I really enjoyed last year's run and was looking forward to this year. Thanks for being an inspiration DJJ!

    Aquaponics - using Fish Waste

Yo your fish are not going to be very happy in that setup. I know goldfish; they're going to need some colored gravel, a clay castle to swim through and at least 1 scuba man blowing bubbles. Though 2 scuba men will give you the best fish poop. I'm talking optimal turds. Seriously though, that...

    "Main-Lining" Ace Of Spades (tutoral)

Hey nug, are there some varieties that tend to be single cola that you can recommend? I don't think I have ever noticed any descriptions that mention being single cola dom. What happens if you prune for 8 or 16 and it's not a single cola dom?

Help please !! I got hermies

Here's what you need to do without killing your plants. First shut off your fans, then get 2 garbage bags (1 for each hermie). Put the bags over the hermie plants (this will keep more pollen from hitting your other plants). Once bagged up move those 2 plants somewhere else to finish budding...

When to start plants in new England 2012

For young plants you don't want the temp too much below 50 degrees I'd say.

The hole I dug filled in with water instantly...

I think that the plant would probably be fine right in the dirt unless the entire hole is soaked (giggity), the roots will regulate themselves. If they can't go deeper due to moisture, they'll go wider. But if you want to be extra safe, go with the 5gal bucket idea.

    Greenhouse - Super Lemon Haze

Was the SLH actually ready to harvest that early? For anyone I know who has grown it out took 11-13 weeks. Hope you kept a cutting around to run it again, sounds like you got a fast pheno.

    Th seeds mkage info?!

This is to be taken with a grain of salt but I'm on the fence about TH seeds. I grew their Burmese Kush which was fucking awesome smoke but it hermied on me ruining everything around it. After my grow I found a lot of post where people have had hermie plants from them. I took the time to...

    were to hide weed plant

You know your yard and your neighborhood. If you can't think of a good place you might want to reconsider what you're about to do. It's not worth getting ripped off or having the cops come to your house. Hit the woods.

Best soil mix for autos, any help appreciated!

Grow them as you normally would. During the 1st few weeks of its life (veg time) feed it veg nutes. Once it starts to flower, flower nutes. If you need a soil base, do some searching there are many recipes on this site.

Is Girl Pee the Same as Boy Pee?

It probably depends on the job. Most places are only going to test for drugs, not hormones because that costs extra. That's how it was told to me.

what can i use for bugs? veg

I second that, but make sure you're getting straight up or close to straight up neem oil. I found a lot of brands that sell watered down neem oil (Aka rip off)

    insight requested- pro mix-

This mix will work well for 5-7 gal pots. You can set and forget this mix until flower time. Then top dress with Indonesian guano and more kelp. 3 parts Canadian sphagnum peat mix, coco coir or Pro-Mix 1 part large chunky perlite 1 part worm castings 1/2 cup greensand 1/2 cup of dolomite lime...

    "Main-Lining" Ace Of Spades (tutoral)

Great thread nugbuckets, thanks for this. I do have a question though. It seems like your plants finish out around 30" tall, which I understand is because you have space limitations. So does main-lining stunt vertical growth or do yours just not get taller because you flip them flower? If you...

    Smart pots, Pros/Cons?

Smart Pots are awesome, I started using them last year and noticed dramatic growth right away. The plants were large, tall and bushy, the root balls were also the largest of any that I had produced in the past. They can be a little tricky outdoors, because they are fabric, they dry out a...
