No barrier shouldn't matter since it is DRY ice. You might be getting extra humidity from it being in the freezer as that is not dry air in there.

I'd keep an eye on the trichs, let them get to where you like your smoke and then cut em down. Depending on your preference you could cut them now or give them another week or so for the trichs to get milkier or turn amber,but they look close.

If the trichs are getting amber it's got to be close. Trichs are like your adult teeth, you only get what you got. Once they all turn amber are start breaking down your way past prime. Maybe this clone you have is a different phenotype than what you usually get?

Looks like it's calcium deficient. You can use dolomite lime added to your water to clear it up in 1-2 waterings. If possible crush the lime up a bit before adding to the water. You could probably use 1-2 tbs per gallon.
