You're going to attach the carbon filter on the back of your exhaust fan that way as your fan is blowing the air out of your cab the active carbon is going to filter that air resulting in air that doesn't smell. Here's the link for the DIY one...

Looking good man! You're on the right track with the trimming. Once you start to fill up your scrog screen you should be removing as much of the excess bottom leaves of the plant that won't be part of that upper canopy. Can't wait to see that scrog net filled.
