Yes you can test it. To dress wounds with cinnamon or a like dry herb cover it by sprinkling over the wound till it's fully covered. It should stick on just fine

Yeah it's definitely one of the better organic tools for fungal control works for gnats too. Powdered clove works too but I find its cons outweigh the pros.
