Appreciate the compliments. Quality is way above quantity, which is synonomous with integrity, if you'll allow me a brief philisophical dalliance . I'm going to switch to green shade cloth on the sides for better stealth and will use the tan for the top. Thanks for the reference. It's uh...

Thanks, I'm going to ask for a raise after those uplifting words. Gaseous Brain Leak: I have been referring to my only potted plant, Rishi Kush, as being in a seven gallon pot. It's in a ten, as were all the others except the males being in sevens. I'll say three Hail Marys. Day 82, 6/25 Gave...

Thanks for the info. Do you have any pics of your current crop? And you went 4' down? That's the poly you mentioned in your email? I could use the poly for winter but it would fry in the summer. I can't go as high as you due to HOA regs, that's why I'm below ground but will get 6' to the flat roof.

Day 81, 6/24 Will take a better pic later. Been very busy. Has been brutally hot last few days. The three three Rishi Kush are showing signs of flowering, two hardly at all, one a fair amount. The Krystallicas are not, nor is the R.K. in the pot. Perhaps the increased heat triggered them...

Day 75, 6/18 104 today, windy. Watered one gallon each this moring, couple gallons to the surface. Didn't bother watering surface in afternoon, they just aren't bothered by the heat. Pics! It's a real grow, I swear! Figured out how to download pics from my old phone to email and then to...

who thinks that they got the biggest outdoor plant so far this season?!!

No, old school cell phone. Edit: ok, playing with phone and sent a pic to my email. Never done it before. Pic is hard to see, five plants in a sunken planter, will take one when sun is almost down. Thanks.

who thinks that they got the biggest outdoor plant so far this season?!!

Shoot, wish mine would slow down. They (2 Krystallica, 3 Rishi Kush) are 42" and I've pruned them 4-5 times to control the height, can't go over 6'. That's, what, 2-3 feet pruned off. It's 105 degrees today with 15-25 mph winds and they love it, just keep growing. I'm having pic download...

While curing does enhance the product I'm wondering if the fresh weed has some chemicals that deteriorate quickly. The initial pleasant and fairly long lasting buzz was not replicated from the same batch that had been drying for several hours. I'm only using young shoot leaves. More, uhh...

Ocean Forest vs Happy Frog Please Weigh In

If you are using cuttings how about starting with HF and stepping up with OF? It depends a lot on your gardening methods and seed strain, too. I am using HF in a 55 cubic foot planter and it's great but your strain may require a bit more oomph (that's a horticultural term). So,by starting mild...

Well, it's great. I have seven 12" stepping stones down on the soil to avoid the soil/perlite. They are still hot, 120+ underneath them, so they should be painted white. Then the plants will be set for the rest of the season. Well.. Forgot to mention that the gila hung around the back yard...

Thanks. I'm using different plastic containers and it's starting to click. Eventually I'll use the utility room to operate in. I'll also have to deal with 85 degrees. Day 68, 6/11 Found a gila monster in the planter this morning! I eased it into a bag and put it under the tomatoes. I rarely...

Day 67, 6/10 About 100 all week. Plants look very good. 32-38"tall, 24-36"wide, except one Krystallica being 24tall,24wide. Actually just pruned them down to 34". One Rishi Kush would be 6' tall by now if I didn't have to prune. Ah, well. The little Krystallica is showing nitrogen deficiency on...

Day 62, 6/5 Finally got the five plants in the planter last night. About 14-15'' soil depth but planted the girls up another 2" and will add a couple of inches in a couple of weeks so, with settling they should have 15 or 16" for the grow. Walking around like a zombie today after all of that...

This is my take so far: - a hardy strain - a mild well balanced soil - mild fert to keep hardy but not soft - dark green is not your friend - fill the pot, step up, fill the pot, step up, fill the pot, step up... - mulch and cover pots - in between full waterings top off upper soil to...

    I love Maxsea

By the way; my grow is going really really well but pruned too much, in my opinion, during my two prunes. So I put some Espoma in my tea and a touch of Maxsea to give them a gentle nudge. The ppms were only 350 and I diluted to 160 ppms. Pretty light but I'd been tea watering with only 40-50...

Harvesting and curing male upper leaves and shoots

You may be right but I'd like to try it. Have you read the pages I listed? I figure if it worked for Frank & Rosenthal it's worth a try. Any other helpful suggestions?

Day 58, 6/2 Thanks. As I mentioned before they are so robust they make me look good. Very happy with how they handled the heat. I'm definately a new parent and a bit obsessive. They're growing so fast, want them to slow down. I think it was the Maxsea I put in their tea a few days ago. Will...

Harvesting and curing male upper leaves and shoots

As per Frank's and Rosenthal's Marijuana Grower's Guide, pages 61-67 & 285-289, I would like to try harvesting and curing some male leaves/shoots just prior to actual pollen development. Aside from the pollen risks does anyone have experienced and knowledgable input? Thanks.

    I love Maxsea

http://www.maxsea-plant-food.com/retail.html I use it in client's gardens when I want to tweak things a bit. I'll plant with Espoma, though. *Maxsea has a lot of quick ferts in it so I don't use it all the time. Good stuff. By using quick ferts you get fast results but with too much the plants...
