I just used Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil and perlite for my transplants and the PH is reading on a PH pen (analog style) at 7. I am not sure how accurate this is. I did it when the soil is moist and it always read right around the same. So this leads me to wanting to buy a PH tester and solutions...

soil ph 7.0 .... watering with ph 5.5 water... runoff is 6.5 so far based on what ive seen also... I think that is coming out good... not too basic... also just watered and leaves are coming down a little bit hopefully that is good guessing it was getting stressed from not enough water and now...

ok cool... I heard supposed to make the leaves shimmer... and since the pots are lower to the ground maybe I should lower the fan too... less stress as you say... thanks a lot I couldn't have gotten it looking as good without you. have grown many things but this is definitely a whole new experience!

also I would have more fixtures if the electric bill is low enough still waiting on that one to come in :O I think the small cfls are soft white which if I'm not mistaken, is the opposite end of the spectrum from what I have going... which will be place along the outside of the current fixture

yeah I have heard that... I think I need to water them again... I haven't watered since transplant and I think that might be partially why... which was 2 days ago... I'm sure the soil at first needs to be watered more? that one leaf that look like they are praying I think the main stem is...

i did on one of the plants it went down because I watered it a bit and didn't really compact the soil... I figured better to leave it a little loose as it can compact on its own... I was worried about air not being able to circulate (under the lowest leaves) but I will take your advise as it...

thanks i have read the bag though... i was just asking if anyone has used with success and was curious if i should run it at half strength and if i have to wait a certain amount of time after transplanting also. based on the soil fox farms ocean forest

what about adding garden tone after already transplanting? I was going to use some but I didn't want to mix it in. using fox farm ocean forest soil and perlite... about 30% mix. i just transplanted yesterday and so far i have not used any nutes. i don't want to burn... how long would i have to...

Thanks very much. I was looking at those air pots also. I wasn't sure about them though. But now I might give them a shot instead of regular pots with drain holes. It shouldn't happen but if it does, if the roots come out the side of the pots and get hit by the light, will it kill the plan or is...

Ok thanks for the help, I appreciate it...I will be transplanting, should I flush the plant first, let it dry, then transplant after 2 days? Is this the best way to fix both problems? When I transplant I want to use a different soil also, is okay to switch to organic soil? I think the lockout...

i took some new pictures after all the problems before... hopefully this is a little better to see... right in the middle o the tops of 2 plants... is coming in almost yellow... 2 of the smaller plants are coming in green... i would like to get the leave to point up more but not sure if it is...

They were underwatered I think. gave it some water and now the leaves are starting to go back up... I think that's solved... but now the yellow tops? is that sulfur or possibly the lights are too close?

This is growing with 200w CFL and just raised the lights. cal - mag only twice and nutes only twice since start of grow. please help before they end up in the trash. I am also moving to bigger pots in the next day or 2. Temperature was at 75 degrees F... raise the lights so they are now 71...
