i bend the top of bobby pins in a circle to slip the stem in and that works well.

Should be ok, just put something next to it to brace it and it should grow strong. be gentle when watering.

I have that book and it does say that, but IMO you have more of a chance getting a female from the temps than the light being at 24/7 And the book is awesome! have you seen the videos? they are cool
