It seems to me that if you taught at a university level then administration could give a shit what you do as long as you get your shit done. As far as lower education goes, try to figure out the area. I guarantee that the HS I went to will never drug test a teacher, but some in richer areas...

The league is ever changing. It's harder to be a superstar now, that's why no one will ever match the numbers of the great older players (magic, kareem, et. al.) because the league has grown (literally, people are fuckin TALL now!) and changed in many ways.

My university has at least one prof. who has admitted to a select few students that he is Prop 215 legal and smokes every day. Judging by his housing location, I bet he grows as well, though he's definitely got the money to buy club weed all day.

If you work on it, a 170 bike ride is a one day trip. My dad (who is 51) does double century (200 mile) rides about 5 times a year, and that's 200 miles with 6,000-12,000 vertical feet of climbing. One day (albeit ALL DAY) ride.
