New to gardening...at least things other than mj...need some help/guidence.

If you can grow MJ you'll be fine. I started the other way around-- an avid gardener who's grown everything, but hadn't grown MJ. Veggies are always fun to grow and you get some yield back from it too. Herbs like rosemary, oregano and thyme are easy to grow, can handle the heat, and are great...

    WTF Is This?

It kind of looks like blight, but hard to tell. More humidity could certainly help the growing requirements for various fungi. Good luck and hope they bounce back.

Show Me What You Got LST?

I definitely should do a journal this time around. I'm looking forward to another year, and I'll be sure and follow your grow too. Your LST was incredible last grow. Cheer bud.

How Much Will an Outdoor Plant Yield Without Any Nutes?

There are a lot of variables for that answer man. Location, soil, light, water, in the ground, in a container, and strain too. If you're planning to grow, let us know you're scenario and you'll get a ton of feedback. Good luck man.

    Dubious Greenhouse Grow

Good to hear from you MC. Just moved again, but still in the south-- zone 6b on a hardiness map. Today the high was 78, but at night it's still down in the 30's. The wife and I are planning to move to Washington in the next few years-- we love the beautiful northwest.

When you going to start this year

I plan to start germinating seeds in the next few weeks. Once they're established it's into the greenhouse bad weather or not! This will be my second LST grow and I'm coming back with soooo much more knowledge than the first time around-- which was very successful. I can't wait for the...

    Dubious Greenhouse Grow

It'd have to be a pretty big tarp, and it would have to have zero light coming through during its 12 hours of darkness. It gets really windy here so I think I'd have a hard time keeping a tarp pinned down. In the summer it hits triple digits, so a black tarp would probably roast them too...

Show Me What You Got LST?

How's it going MC. It's been a while since I've been on, but I'm gearing up for my spring LST-- I can't wait for it to get just a little warmer. Glad to be back on RIU! Dub

Any and all info about growing sunflowers....

I grew some 2 years ago and they got between 10-12 feet with nothing more than regular watering! Not sure what variety, but they're pretty simple to grow. As they do get big plan accordingly. Good luck man.

Who's Got The Fostiest Buds? Let's See How Frosty A Bud Can Really Get?

There are some really nice looking buds on this thread-- wish my computer had some sort of smell function! I thought I'd put up some pics of the harvest. Happy growing people. Cheers.

    To All You Haters...

That's a pretty angry world you're living in man, and a quick way to a brain aneurysm or a heart attack. I think those hugs you need are about a childhood too late. You are the reference point man, it is as you choose to see it. Good luck.

    Dubious Greenhouse Grow

Thanks guys. The cumulative knowledge of the growers on this site has been essential in the success of this grow. My grow was pretty small compared to some of those humbling grows with massive trees, but it gives me something to work towards. My hats off to you guys for all the help-- it is...

Disease in my garden! (Photo Intensive!)

Well the plant is definitely stressed. Browning on leaves usually is related to a lack of water or maybe you've over fertilized. Yellowing usually means over watering. I'd check to see if the plant is root bound, and to make sure that you have soil that drains well-- it's a good place to...

    Dubious Greenhouse Grow

Hope everyone had a good Halloween. I'm finally getting some pics up of some of the harvest-- had some computer issues. I love how sticky these plants are, and I'm pretty happy with the outcome. I chopped a late bloomer today, and it smells great. I did a quick dry sample of this plant and...

    Dubious Greenhouse Grow

Hey guys. It has finally been getting cold with temps dropping into the low 30's at night, so I started harvesting Monday. I still have a few small sativa looking plants that are taking longer to fill in, and I think they've got a few weeks. I've got a heater in the greenhouse so temps...

    Dubious Greenhouse Grow

Thanks MC, much appreciated. The sun has finally come out after almost three days of constant cold, windy and rainy weather. It makes me glad that I've got the greenhouse as the plants saw none of it. I've enjoyed growing from seed to smoke, and there is something satisfying about growing...

    Keeping girls small

Sounds like a plan man, and it's nice with containers that they're mobile in bad weather. Good luck with your grow, cheers.

    Dubious Greenhouse Grow

Hey everybody, it's been a while-- I wish I could get on here more but you know how it goes sometimes. Anyway, I haven't started chopping yet but I plan on soon. I did take a sample of a couple different plants, and quick dried the nugs. They all smell distinctly different, and were pretty...

    Keeping girls small

Yup, I LST'd and my tallest plant is just under 3'-- also look at topping for greater yield. Good luck man.
