    Hello from the Emerald Isle

Thanks I've been to Scotland a good few times, absolutely beautiful place.

Putting seeds in freezer before germinating?

Germinating in a dilute hydrogen peroxide solution has given me nearly 100% success rate, helps prevent mould, and increases initial oxygen absorption rate. Just a suggestion!

Coming into week 8, it’s been a huge learning experience.

Looking deliciously frosty. Is the smell divine?

    My Green Girlies Avatars (AI)

I just found some pictures of palmy. What a cute and unique little lady. She makes me think that somewhere she's grown huge like a regular palm with delicious buds hanging from her like bunches of ripe bananas!

    I think she's burnt?

I check the substrate everyday and am certain that it has never dried out. What did you mean by running low?

    I think she's burnt?

This is my first attempt at growing so I don't even know what EC is! But I'll check the soil ph tomorrow. I don't water the top of the coco coir, I check to see how deep it is before I feel wet substrate and then water below the surface. It helps prevent mould to keep the surface dry.

    I think she's burnt?

Coco coir with perlite mixed in. And I used the same nutrients that I have used for their whole grow but in fact more diluted. It was really scary to see the damage. I should have taken a picture of the other leaves. I just hope it doesn't continue

    What are your vaporizers?

Zeus Arc. I really like the convenience of being able to make up a bunch of pods at a time, half CBD, half THC and a touch of crumble. Then I can just load up a new pod when one goes and carry a few around with me with no issue of anything getting crushed etc. They are discreet too which helps...

    I think she's burnt?

I fed my 4 girlies yesterday and today my two early veg stage ladies have some severely burnt leaves, so my presumption is nutrient burn but having not seen it this extreme before I wanted to post and check that I'm guessing correctly. Is that what this is? Some other leaves were much worse than...

    My Green Girlies Avatars (AI)

So, I have gotten into growing this year and have named my plants after their strain types. I also thought it would be fun to use AI to create avatars for each of them to show how I envision them and their personalities. So let me introduce you to: Red (Bloody Skunk Auto) Matron (Sweet...

    Hello from the Emerald Isle

Hello folks! Realised I hadn't posted an intro in here. I'm in Europe in a place where the ol' green bud isn't legal unless it's the CBD kind ... So if you hear me talking about any other kind, I obviously must be mistaken and totally only mean the legal kind. Yup. 41 year old lady with...

    Wavy fan leaves early on

My best guess would be that it is over watered, but I would keep things simple for another week and see how she gets on when she's a bit bigger.

    Help with first grow.

I'm a noob myself so take my thoughts with a pinch of salt... but I had similar with one of mine and I had given her too much nutrients early on. A few weeks of just plain water to try to dilute things, and her new growth looks healthy and lush.
  15. EmeraldGreenGal

    Is she okay?

She's giving a little respectful bow Though in all seriousness, I used a stake to support my legging seedlings when they looked like this, just using an open loop to gently support as she grew. You can also bury her up to those first leaves if you wanted to give extra support.

My first grow - meet the girls

Also, thank you for the reassurance that they are looking good. I'm very proud of these little ladies, but was also convinced I'd done something wrong due to how small they are for their age etc. I was looking at grow tent bushes that make these look like a dandelion in comparison and was...

My first grow - meet the girls

That's hilarious! Yesterday I saw a woman climb into scrub and undergrowth as tall as her in the garden of an abandoned house to pick blackberries! Luckily my ladies disguise is purely to add a little deceptive colour in case any of the neighbours get out the binoculars and look at the shapes...

    Leaf trimming

Thanks so much for all the info in this thread! I was about to ask the same question but search function to the rescue!

My first grow - meet the girls

Awww thank you. I was convinced that I'd messed them up as they seem so tiny in comparison to these super lush grow tent plants I see. But I'm enjoying the process and if I get some bud at the end of it it's all the better!
