    Are carbon filter fans required…

As above it's purely to lessen the smell... they represent a loss of efficiency as you're having the fan work harder to push or pull the same amount of air through a bottleneck/restriction. And they need replacing frequently as once the carbon granules are saturated, they will stop working...

    LST - Star, Spiral etc

This is pretty much exactly what I will try to do with my current grow, as i have space for 3-4 plants, I started with 3 seedlings but lost one due to user error, so I intend to LST them and not top them as they are very much indica dominant. Anchor points for the 'strings' will be a challenge...

    Greater Expertise In This Area

I had really good results with DP 'CBD skunk haze' https://dutch-passion.us/cannabis-seeds/cbd-skunk-haze It's only 7% THC but a whopping 7% CBD also, so it's a ~1:1 ratio. Supprisingly good high aswell, considering it's 'low' by modern standards THC.

    Shop lights

Yeah a standard kitchen/shop strip light will just be bright white, say a colur temp of 4000k for example. A purpose built LED grow light will have a range of red, blue and white LEDs in more suitable colour spectrums/temperatures. Plus you get some with dimmers which help save power when the...

Hear me out - crazy idea for maximum yields with dwc/aero and autoflowers

The style of DWC i have is kinda aero untill the roots are long enough to be underwater, dont need to top feed really, as it the water level is correct, the net pots get splashed with tiny droplet from the bubbless bursting on the surface: This vid might give you some ideas:

DWC Changing the reservoir under scrog net

Yeah this is pretty much what I do, I just have a big 100L DWC though, and nothing else, so I have a cheap water pump and 10m of hose, and just drain it out into the toilet in the next room. Takes about 40 mins to drain or refill, as its quite a slow pump, but it's good for this purpose as it...

    Crystal White Kush DWC

Some good news and some bad news... I lost a seedling so im now down to 2 plants - my fault as I dropped it onto the floor when transfering it to the root-riot cube from the paper towel, it was really stunted compared to the other two and seemed to struggle to shed the seed casing..I tried to...

    Crystal White Kush DWC

Not a lot going on at the moment, top growth a bit slow as roots make thier way through the pots. PH and EC and air temperature/RH are good, i put a maintenence dose of peroxide in just in case. I've kinda solved my air stone problem (for now), Im just running 3 stones, one under each pot, and...

Will these specs work well for 1440p with high settings?

Will be fine at 1440p, my system is slightly lower spec than that, i5 13000k and Saphire 6800xt 16gb, with 32gb ddr5@6000mhz. You want 32gb ram minimum though, for balance. 64gb if you are feeling flush but 32gb is the sweet spot at the moment. I even run some games at 4k, but only older or...

    Crystal White Kush DWC

Small update, what a shit show... my cheap blue air stones have started to disintigtate! they've only done one grow before but not good! They are pulling off at the plastic nipple! I've got some small cheap inline valves ( the red bits you might be able to see in the pics) so im wondering if...

    6" inline for 2x4?

Good point, if you are re-circulating air in the same room as the tent, then excess humidity will also re-circulate...you really need to vent exhaust into a different space. A dehmidifier should help here but it's another peice of equipment and and another thing using electricity.

    6" inline for 2x4?

On full speed it sucks so hard it makes my ducting visibly shake around, lol!

    6" inline for 2x4?

If your going to buy a new extractor, seriouslly consider an EC fan, they are a game changer and super powerful. They are not cheap, but they are speed controlled inline with power consumption, I.e. if you dial it down to 50% it will use 50% less power to run, unlike traditional fans. I've...
