Tapering down Nitrogen in flower (masterblend)

Ah, I thought the ratio had to be strict. And I've never ran full strength, just half. Full strength npk numbers seems insane!

Tapering down Nitrogen in flower (masterblend)

Sure I get that plants need N in all stages of growth, but my npk is 20-18-38 and I have about 3 weeks of flower left....

Tapering down Nitrogen in flower (masterblend)

Thanks! Any products or brands that have calcium sulfate or calcium chloride? And any info on ratios?

Tapering down Nitrogen in flower (masterblend)

Yeah but the calcium nitrate is 15.5 N. Doesn't that mean my actual npk is 19.5-18-38?

Tapering down Nitrogen in flower (masterblend)

Hi all, this is my first dwc run. I've been using Master blend tomato formula, along with magnesium and calcium (the basic trio). A lot of people talk about reducing nitrogen while in flower. Should I be cutting back the calcium in my ratio? This is where the nitrogen is coming from. If so...

    Recommendation: Cheap PPFD meter?

I've had my Quantum PAR Meter since March 2024

    Recommendation: Cheap PPFD meter?

It works great. Honestly I think they're all going to be a little off unless you calibrate them with expensive tools. As long as It's off consistently that's all I care about

    Beige dutch buckets are ok?

I have seen the Beto Dutch buckets come in either black or beige. I have seen a lot about how Roots do not like light. These beige buckets look like they would let light in especially when used with a net pot. So, Roots being exposed to light is not that big of a deal or there's some sort of...

    Converting DWC to RDWC

awesome, thank you again so much. Being that I want to have one Rez and multiple sites that span 2 tents, I'm thinking of a simplified Dutch bucket system. One Rez, some type of manifold to feed drip lines to airpots filled with hydroton and a simple drain connected to the saucer that's...

Got it. So we want the female fitting on the inside. Makes sense. Thank you!

    2 different strains in rdwc?

I'm thinking of doing this too. One res feeding 3-sites all with different strains, different flower times, photo AND auto. lol Am I asking for trouble? I'll be using Masterblend.

Learning about all the different forms or hydro

Thank you! Here's a direct link in case anyone is reading. They just don't include the Dutch bucket, which ironically is the one that seems to suit me the best.

    Converting DWC to RDWC

Good to know. Looking at those plastic threads, they don't strip easily?

    Converting DWC to RDWC

Definitely. Once I figure out the type of hydro that works for me. Then, i wouldn't mind shelling out the duckets!

    Converting DWC to RDWC

Ye Thanks, I'll save that in my cart still $100 for 4 buckets but it is what it is i guess

Learning about all the different forms or hydro

Can anyone recommend a good resource or video that explains and compares all the different forms of hydro? I've been doing a lot of YouTube University stuff but it's so random. I see there is non-liquid Hydro like growing in coco or hydroton, then there's the plumbing stuff like dwc, rdwc...

    Converting DWC to RDWC

Thank you! I spent about 6 hours today doing research and pricing out a- three-site our dwc system. The price of the buckets, PVC, elbows, is just ridiculously expensive. And that's with the conduit bulkheads. The legit bulkheads are crazy expensive. If I knew knew this system would last me a...

Make $2200 worth of "Clear Rez" for $4 !!!

I'm using my gram scale that I use for my master blend fert to measure the shock. I'm doing .1g of shock for 12oz water. Based on my calculations is the same as 1g per gallon of water. Then, 6ml of that solution per gallon of water. I run 3gal of water in my 5gal dwc bucket, so, 18ml of...
