    using compost...

    I have a question I've been trying to chase down. Is perlite bad for the worms and other micro whatevers that might be in living soil? It's probably a sure thinh that the dog food will be gone buy the time it's used. It's so little that it's not going to hert anything. I just Googled this...

    shiny leaves?

    I have to agree with the bug infestion. The little white spots look a lot like mites. Do you have an eye loupe? They are very hard to see without one. Amazon has them for less than $10.

    using compost...

    Compposted natural soil is my choice. You may not get quite as much as with chemicals but the odds of have a trouble free grow are a lot better. For my little indoor winter grows I am now using (excelent) soil form my outdoor garden mixed with about half compost. To test the soil I will sprout...

    Seed cracking, brown taproot

    For the past year I've been ditching the paper towel and just going straight to the Jiffy seed starter from soaking. I've found that the paper towel isn't really necessary. It seems more natural. If the seeds are going to germinate it only stans to reason that that would cause less stress to the...

    Moldy air

    If your plants are more important than your health then there's nothing I can add that will be worth writing. But, to directly answer your question, after you grow and harvest your weed I personally wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole. Whether it shows up on the weed or not as far as I'm...

    Moldy air

    Mold you breathe will probably kill you over time. Forget the weed and protect yourself. My advice is junk the thing out and get a new one. Dieing from breathing mold is not a very nice way to go.

    Hey old farts..how many over 50 yrs?

    We just paid $2600 yesterday for a new water heater. How long do you think it will last? The old one was well over 20 years old. While shopping for a new one we saw a "2 Year Warranty" on one...That was for a water heater in the house. It probably had a coffee can for a tank.

    Best nutrient for soil outdoor grow and strain?

    I grow big plants with lots of bud and all I use is compost and manure. For each plant I dig a hole about 4 feet dia and about 18 inches deep and mix it all together. Everything depends on what you are starting with. If the soil is already good that may be enough. Also, you can think about...

    Spy copters??.....maybe just the terps

    Well, the weed cops in Oklahoma don't seen to be that bad. Of the folks I know no one as had any trouble. What has happened is that they have shut down several large Chinese grows here. Those are some of the people that helped ruin the pot industry here. As far as I care they can land in my...

    Added to previous post: It doesn't take much stretch of the rubber band. Use lighter rubber bands and pull easy.

    5.5 weeks old i feel like shes really small

    Here's an easy way to tie it down. It's works really well. Use rubber bands and pipe cleaners. The rubber band keeps constant tension on the plant. If you just tie it down you have to keep adding tension. Here is an example. There's a rubber band holding this. leave it like this for a day or...

    Am I doing it correctly (first time doing lst)

    Your plant looks really nice. It looks to have had a very good start. I'd would like to make one suggestion that maybe can make it a little easier. I saw this on a post a couple of years ago. Bend a pice of wire to form a sort of bridge and place it where you want the bend to take place, then...

    2024 outdoor show an tell anything an everything outdoor is welcome.

    I'm an outdoor grower but I got so bored already waiting for spring that I'm growing a Hulkberry Auto in my bedroom. Lost my grow room to my wife and her garden flowers for the winter. It's my house plant.

    Down to Earth Ferts

    One thing about DTE is the boxes are so big that you might want to be serious about making big batches. After the first year it's not so bad but to buy all the ingredients for most recipes cost quite a bit. After the first year there seems to be a lot of stuff left over but not enough for the...
