    INDOOR TO OUTDOOR

The light doesn't need to be that strong. It just has to be bright enough to keep the plant awake. I have literally just put tape on the laundry room light switch (so no one could turn it off). Then I set the plants next to the window. It worked out fine every time I used this method. That being...

Late flowering sativa + forecasted frost = Early harvest?

Just till it passed. We used to have to do it around every other year. Now with the hoop house, I just fire up the propane heater. A few times I really think it was the sterno that saved the day. Once we had an ice storm that hung around with a couple cold (well below freezing) days and then...

Late flowering sativa + forecasted frost = Early harvest?

I have done it and the plants came out fine. I made what amounts to a small tent with sheets and plastic using sticks to hold the coverings away from the plant. I also put sterno cans unde the tents to add a little heat. Those plants lived another few weeks and got to finish up nicely. In the...

Finishing up and getting ready for harvest

The plants need longer. You don't necessarily need a magnifier. But don't harvest until the pistils have all changed, shrank back into the calyxsa little and the calyxs have swollen.

    Mites thrips

You will not melt trichomes at 35%alcohol. It is something that is used by many people. Myself included, as I made the post in question. This bud was treated during flowering with the aforementioned tank mixture. The trichomes are still intact.

    The whole plant is yellowing

The fan doesn't need to be plugged in for a cold air inlet to chill the rootzone. Especially with airpots. Your extraction fan should be drawing enough air to create a decent breeze right across that pot. I have seen very similar scenarios before. It could be something else. But I would start...

    The whole plant is yellowing

Is that a fan, or just a duct? If it's an intake fan, then definitely point it away from the air pots. As to the temperature, a small space heater with an inkbird controller will not significantly raise your electricity bill. And the correct temperatures can definitely improve your yield.

    The whole plant is yellowing

I would also raise the the temperature of the tent above 27c. I would have it at 28-29c.

    The whole plant is yellowing

I would check the soil temperatures. The first picture in this series you posted shows what seems to be an air inlet pointed directly at the airpot for the troubled plant. That colder incoming air could be significantly lowering the rootzone temperature and causing problems with magnesium and...

Remove helmet head or leave it?

I use sharp point trim scissors like these. I kinda hook the crack in the shell with the tip of one blade and gently support the head of the seedling with my thumb while wiggling off the husk. Good luck friend!

anyone wanna show off their Illinois grow!?!

Well the hard freeze the other day convinced me to call it a year. I had gone out Thursday night to play guitar and later, watch the eclipse. And while watching the eclipse it dawned on me that it was getting colder than I thought it would. So I went home and fired up the hoop house heater. Then...

My neighbour Has a Male plant And now im panicking

This is one of the many reasons I built a hoop house. But even with that we had to add materials to filter incoming air. In the end, I've still have to deal with a few seeds on the two plants growing closest to the door. The hemp growers either don't know what they are doing or don't seem to...

My neighbour Has a Male plant And now im panicking

I had a plant seeded from the commercial hemp grows near me. And they are a few miles away. It really sucked having it happen. Especially when we have a five plant limit.

My neighbour Has a Male plant And now im panicking

Well,,,, preflowers can get pollinated. But that should not be a big concern. If you notice anything starting to develop, pop them off. It's pretty rude to grow male plants outside... At least he's getting rid of it.
