Suggestions for correcting soil that has too much calcium?

Using Neptunes Harvest as an example, they sell 2 popular products. The seaweed fert is 0 0 1 and uses Potassium hydroxide to extract and stabilize. I found that in flower this is an almost exact sub for pH down! And offers a lot more than just the down. I use it now as my pH down during...

    Watering

It's a long way from page 1 and I just got here. Based upon what you first said, it sounds like you watered every 4 days vs knowing when they really needed water. That can and will stunt or kill plants. The next 10 pages was a semi epic show where you slowly calmed down. The best advice I...

what's a good seed starting mix ratio ?

No...I would balance it with a better mix ratio. Peat is acidic, ewc is neutral. 1 - 1 - 1(up to 2) is a better starting point and will be fine imo. Ewc is amazing, but incredibly dense and needs a lot of aeration. I also agree with PW that perlite, or a combo of perlite and vermiculite will...

what's a good seed starting mix ratio ?

My experience with soil is that it is hard to have too much aeration. I would bump the ratio of aeration up a lot. Too little is a big problem, too much doesn't happen but would be a small problem. (Watering more often) Also that much peat will be acidic. Although the ewc will be nice and...

Mid level/ center level of pot not absorbing water

I recommend that you water 1q at a time with 5 to 10min between rounds. After the first 3 rounds I would slow even more. Water this way once or twice to see what is going on. You can aerate the center a bit by poking some holes first if you like. That may help deliver it where you want. I...

Need to see the whole plant to determine.

    Lung Tent?

I think it's a fine idea. You will want the lung tent to be bigger than your actual tent if possible imo.

    Mainlining and nutrient burn

As shown in the great pics.... Every fan leaf Has an attached growth tip Until and unless you chop it. Look closely where the fan leaf stems meet the main stem. That smaller leaf looking branch is the growth tip in each instance.

    Rain water to water plants?

Just answer it gents don't drag it out. Excellent Q. The water you use is a critical choice. Unless you live in a high smog city with noticeable air issues, it should be fine. Want to be sure? Just collect some and test the ph and ppm. You wont miss out using rain water

    Mainlining and nutrient burn

Go to growweedeasy.com and review the initial topping. Pay special attention to the growth tips next to the fan leaves. When I first started it took me a while to get this. I didnt make your mistake, but i also didnt understand it for a while until it became clear. The plant grows from...

    Mainlining and nutrient burn

You did everything right except you chopped the 2 growth tips. That killed the plant as it cannot grow further. Dont get too upset, learning this step is ez. Next round.

    Biggest mistakes as a newbie?

When it comes to the forum, the #1 mistake is to ask a question after already messing up, instead of asking about doing something BEFORE doing it. The #2 mistake is getting advice and then doing something else...because you don't like the advice. Usually, the advice is don't do it. And...

    Example Top Dress Only Program?

I have grown in supersoil I create since the beginning. As mentioned, 5 gal is an issue. You should transplant to a 10gal a few weeks before flip. BUT dont fill up the full 10. Fill up maybe 7, and topdress as needed with more cooked supersoil. The benefit of this is the plants are 100%...

Suggestions for correcting soil that has too much calcium?

I think the fish feed is acidic with the stabilizers.

Suggestions for correcting soil that has too much calcium?

I doubt the soil is or was that out of whack. If you are growing water only the plant shouldn't take more than it needs. I would guess pH is off in the water and also the soil itself.

    Watering night before harvest

It is a valid concern for sure esp in wet climates. Imo key is to insure that for the 1st 3 days there is a rapid and steady loss of rh. After 3 days, slow it down to a crawl.

    why is it called 'Super'?

I think they were attempts to say they found a really good pheno which is what they are selling. Since they tend to be older strains, it makes people more comfortable to get the "old" stuff. Just MO.

Read this, if you don't want to give your identity away on rollitup

When the mod in charge of the site tells you...do you believe them? "Every member who puts him on ignore is a happier member." Which part should be clarified? That lots of members ignore him? That the mods are well aware of his troll style? That not having to bother with the worthless trolling...

    Dispensary cannabis

In another thread we discussed whether or not there is a market for elite, expensive grows. It sounds like someone is trying at least. As someone who knows how good Cali bud can be, it is astounding to me that anybody pays even $40 an 8th let alone 100. But we all also know how much money...
