    RDWC and LEDs: Various strains

Was at Ace hardware today and stumbled across some 3/4" ID tubing. Worked nice to bridge the gap. A tad loose on the manifold side, but real tight on the pump nipple. I closed all the nozzles to test the seal and some air was seeping out. Will need to pick up some screw clamps. Then I opened up...

    Fragile's First Flowers!!

It's a good screen design for individual dwc totes. Anything with a lid really to mount it to. I'm sure it could mount to a pot as well if the lip was wide enough.

Naw the nozzles off the manifold https://www.pondmasterstore.com/pondmaster-air-pump-ap-100 There's a rubber increaser that goes over the nipple on the pump and flares out where the plastic manifold sits into it and the pipe clamp makes it snug. The nozzles off that plastic piece don't fit the...

I have an AP100 from danner that I haven't even used yet due to the manifold having such large size nozzle and my air tubing is of a different size. Weird.

    RDWC and LEDs: Various strains

I don't know why I struggle so much. I never know how much to feed them. I either give them too much or too little or don't know. They always grow slow and the leaves get distorted. I see other people feeding high from seed and I try and they stall out. So I lower and then they look hungry and...

Yeah he had me convinced my nutrients were too strong. But it's like I just need to feed more of the 1-0.5-1 After I'm done with my mix I'mma buy the MOST from Jack's and use my MKP, K2NO3, K2SO4, MgSO4, CaNO3 this way I have more control over ratios. Thank you. Welcome aboard

    RDWC and LEDs: Various strains

Well when the weather was warmer and the res was 71F I was still getting the Mg def. I think my K and Ca levels may be too high and limiting the Mg absorption since they are antagonists to Mg on the Mulder's Chart

    RDWC and LEDs: Various strains

Yeah I started from seed and I struggle from seed. I recently bought clonex as the guy at the hydro store told me just diluting the veg recipe wasn't ideal. It was like $23 for a liter though and it takes 200ml to get the multi site to 0.6 EC so I'm going to look into the truthfulness of his...

The smell goes after i dry....

I found minimizing the N after week 5 on a 9-10 week strain and upping the sulphur and potassium around the same time helped a lot. I will PK dose from week 3 and gradually lessen the PK and start adding potassium sulfate in its place. Cut out the PK completely by week 6-7 and keep the K2SO4. I...

    RDWC and LEDs: Various strains

Yeah. My cloner is 17 gal and then I have a few 6 site 27 gal that I wanna use for a SOG grow. 6 plants in 3 sq. Ft. I have a 6 site 12 gal for veg. They go from the 17gal aero cloner to the 27 gal multi site then to the 12 gal rdwc then to the 27 gal rdwc Got some good SOG canidates in the...

    RDWC and LEDs: Various strains

I fit about 17-20 gal in each 27 gal tote. My netpots aren't deep, maybe 3.5-4" deep. I need a smaller pump. The difference in water level on the control bucket is much lower than the sites and the pump gurgles after a week or less depending on stage of growth. I'd rather not top off that...

Roots are filling up their new home a lot for only a week in there. Finally got the screens on a couple days ago. I had to increase to 24" height instead of 16" since they grew so much while I was trying to correct a Mg deficiency

Diy rdwc. Is the depth of the tote/bucket important?

Mine circulates about once every 7 minutes on paper. So I'd say probably once every 10 minutes in the real world so figure out how much water your system will hold and use that as a guide. Not saying my system is perfect, but it's worked for over 6 grows. Roots take up about a quarter to a...

Diy rdwc. Is the depth of the tote/bucket important?

Using a 3800LPH pump through a chiller rated for 1520L reservoir. My system volume is 425L. The totes are 100L but only fit about 60L This is the system

Yes it is recirculating. I enjoy it. Allows for longer time between top offs and pHinh

Diy rdwc. Is the depth of the tote/bucket important?

I use 100liter totes so no I don't think 45liter is overkill. This is one tote per plant. I typically grow them 2-3ft. And fill a 2x2 scrog quite easily with 5 week veg from clone.

    RDWC leaking issue

When I do bulkheads the threads are on the outside and the gasket is on the inside between the tote wall and the lip of the bulkhead. Then the nut goes on the outside to squeeze the lip up against the gasket and the gasket up against the inside tote wall. If you put the gasket on the outside...

    Jack's 321 Questions

I've never had my calcinit absorb water. I made the mistake of leaving the Jack's out and that clumped up. Maybe I should check on the 16# I have left that's just sitting their ziptied up
