Need help -- Can't be in my room--Bumming out

fungus knats will show up when the soil is damp. The only thing that finally got rid of them in my garden was adding a 1/2 inch top layer of sand. It prevents them from laying eggs. You might want to give that a try. Good luck!

    Good right?

Wow that is a crazy looking bug. Different from the centipedes around this area. Very cool looking Yes, centipedes are beneficial. Did a search and guess that is a House Centipede. There is even an article linked to the image search for house centipedes explaining how they are friendly and get...

Wet or dry trim? First harvest

I have done both many times and prefer to dry trim. The finished product is better and it sounds like I am in the minority but I actually find it easier to trim dry than wet. And the trim bin collects great kief if you trim dry

Neem Oil: How late to possibly use in harvest?

I've got hammered by bud worms in the past too. In my experience, neem will stop caterpillars but only after they have already eaten a good chunk of material. Its not a great method for stopping them. Spinosad or BT will help stop the caterpillars. I use Captain Jack's Spinosad and would...

    Smite my mite!!

I don't know if its always true but as a general rule--bad mites live on your plants, good mites live in the soil Those might be hypnaspis mites and might be beneficial

    growing year round in FL?

Yes, its possible to grow year round in Socal. The biggest issue is that the plants don't get bigger, they just flower at the same size once they get put out. Same for Florida too, probably. The winter temps and humidity are much more ideal than summer for growing. You might want to invest in...

    Pistils turning brown no terpenes

Too early. Looks about half way through flower. Low light can slow things down. If you can start taking it outside during the daytime or opening a window for more sun.

    Pistils turning brown no terpenes

Your biggest problem is not enough light. A desk light is not sufficient. If you got better lights, you will see better results Good luck and Happy Growing!

    Bubble hash with mildew buds?

No the mildew and all the spores will go right into the bubble hash if you use it I have read literature saying that there are no documented bad effects from white powder mildew, but people with asthma and breathing related issues should avoid it. The only thing I would suggest is an alcohol...

    Bud rot problems :(

If all you have is the brown in the stems then you don't have bud rot. Not sure if the brown in the stem would lead to bud rot--it would be interesting to let it go and see. Its probably a fungal issue, but not necessarily bud rot. In that case, you are 'probably' okay as long as you don't see...

    Bud rot problems :(

Bud rot is systemic. It sucks but yes the rot has travelled throughout your plant. The healthiest plant of action is to toss the entire plants that are infected. Some folks say you can use it for edibles or topicals and you can if you want. But huge losses like this are why I never understand...

Bugs in late flower!! Help please

Those bugs are aphids. Aphids don't do much damage at first but spread rapidly and can do major damage if they have a big outbreak. Yours looks on the verge of a big outbreak. If you don't spray something now, they will get worse. But if temps are going to drop into the 30's the spray might lead...

POT WORMS! Are these a problem??

Never seen these worms before but you can use the insecticide Spinosad as a drench to water into the soil and that should kill any bugs/worms in the soil. You can also use Spinosad as a spray and it will get rid of your mealy bug infection. You might need to alternate with a different...

    50/50 What To Do?

If I were you I would harvest everything now. Way better to have a harvest than no harvest or infected harvest. And early harvested bud can be decent. Some folks even prefer it. Good luck!

Is this spider mites or spiders? & what to do

You are fine. I don't see pics of bugs in any pic you posted. The blemishes look like typical leaf tears. I don't see anything eating, even where its torn. With spider mites, you almost always see bite marks before they get established and start weaving webs. Don't see any sign of leaf hoppers...

Bug ID Wanted: Crazy Fly Looking Bug with Dozens of Mites On It

Caught this creature in my grow tent that looks like a baby fly--its not a fly, but not sure what it is? As soon as it got killed I noticed dozens of tiny mites coming off the fly. In the pics below, the red dots are the mites. They are very fast moving, so I'm hoping they are blood mites and...
