Hortilux Ceramic HPS - Total trash?

Agreed. It definitely looks like a bottom branch with limit light by the looser density and leafier ratio

Hortilux Ceramic HPS - Total trash?

Theres actually a ton of journals out there with 315w 4x4 grows or similar where it seems like the average yield depending on grower and strain is roughly 10-14 ozs. Some guys have had runs as good as to pull nearly an entire lb with one 315w. I myself had a pretty successful run on my last...

Hortilux Ceramic HPS - Total trash?

The nanolux dual 315w bulb set up is $380-$400 for the fixture. About $120 for two bulbs

Hortilux Ceramic HPS - Total trash?

Keep me posted on how the double senses bulb works for you. Just start with a really high mounting height first then bring it down bit by bit. These lights are very intense and cant imagine how bright the double ended will be.

Hortilux Ceramic HPS - Total trash?

I've never seen colors terps or resin production when using hps like I do with cmh. And they shouldn't be as big as a 1000w hid bulb.....its 630w total so just a little more than half that of the super hps and I dont have to run any ac....I would most definitely need to with 1000w. As well as...

Hortilux Ceramic HPS - Total trash?

My nanolux dual bulb 630w has a perfect footprint for a 5x5. I'm currently just hitting week 5 in my 5x5 tent using 2 - Phillip's 3100k in my 630w hood. Resin production is insane.....hell the buds that are the furthest from the fixture against the tent wall are actually some of the biggest buds...

Hortilux Ceramic HPS - Total trash?

Honestly all the true DE cmh bulbs have been getting iffy reviews regarding one of the burners darkening which then ruins the spectrum. Honestly these 630cmh dual bulb pack alot of power. ad well as allow you to mix Kelvin bulbs. I've heard of people doing a 1000w hps then a 630cmh side ny side...

Hortilux Ceramic HPS - Total trash?

Lol ok ok you cant compare leds to a 150w hps... lol. That'ssuch a low watt bulb. Most bulbs become more efficient at higher wattage. Which is why you dont ever see data tables comparing 150w bulbs. And CMH even more efficient than hps on a straight watt to watt comparison . A 315w will kill a...

Hortilux Ceramic HPS - Total trash?

Well the cant expect alot of power for flower with only 315w ...which is why I use the 315 for veg and 630w cmh for flower

Hortilux Ceramic HPS - Total trash?

H High end LEDS that cost grands per fixture ....compared to 400 bucks for a 630. And I am not sure that all high end leds can beat out cmh on yields. I yielded 700 grams with my 630w cmh and was only filling 2/3 of my 5x5 text with 6 plants. So probably 1.5gpw or more would be possible with...

Hortilux Ceramic HPS - Total trash?

Well.....its been pretty much proven that a fuller spectrum will generally produce better quality. Maybe not neccesarily increase yields. But I know my 630 CMH outperforms when I was using just Hps and when using HPS + LED. Honestly I use to bag on CMH growers. But each person always had current...

Hortilux Ceramic HPS - Total trash?

I have to agree here. I use to think all the hype was bull about cmh. I always used hps + Led which yielded good results. But decided to see what all the fuss was about. Results blew me away. My plants stayed green and healthy all the week through harvest damm near . With very little effort at...

    630w CMH for a beginner?

bahahahaha. I think you were right though in saying since there kind of the most shaded at beginning of flower. the have a little more stretch to them making it more easily lit up

    630w CMH for a beginner?

I think it has to do with a mix of direct light from fixture and being the closest to where the light reflects back into the tent. it's right up against where alot of light is being reflected back probably make the wall side of the bud recv alot of light as well

    630w CMH for a beginner?

Here is week 3 in my 5x5 tent with just a 630cmh with 2 3100k bulbs....it covers a 5x5 juuuuuuust fine. hell, a few of the buds on the very outside edges against the wall are some of the biggest colas forming so far.

    630w CMH for a beginner?

our rates are only 12c per kwh. and I use a separate 315w cmh to veg my entire 5x5 tent....so even less power than those who use 400w mh....

    630w CMH for a beginner?

lol why do you think hps penetrates better than any other light.....because of its intensity.....and again....buds get huge under hps....because the light is physically penetrating the buds and leaves. why do you think even shaded buds grow if light couldn't penetrate through leaves. there still...

    630w CMH for a beginner?

greater penetration is not soley relying on number of light angles. yes....its a factor....but intensity of the light fixtures its self plays a larger role imo. spacing out 2 315w fixtures still only leaves you with the single bulb intensity that only makes it was about 8 -12 inches into the...

    630w CMH for a beginner?

in a 4x4..a 630w is going to pushing Max intensity. you would need the fixture mounted as high as possible and keep plants short. in a 4x4. I would go with a combo of 315w cmh and 100-200w draw led for little extra umps. but a 315w cmh will do well in a 4x4 if kept to a scrog grow. nake sure to...
