    Living Soil Wicking Beds

I will let this soil cook for a month while the seedlings get going. This is a totally new strain for me, and my first time growing seeds from a breeder.

    Living Soil Wicking Beds

I'm working a wicking bed, but am fascinated with all SIP styles and all plants grown in them. This is my fourth cannabis grow. Once I had the design in my head and materials gathered, it took roughly four hours to assemble.

Is this what you guys mean?

I've had that thought. Please go on.

Is this what you guys mean?

Check out this clone. Its mother is in the pictures above. This one's probably in week ten, and I threw massive amounts of nitrogen at it considering what its mother did. It still wants to fade fast and hard! But the fade didn't start until a couple weeks ago. Its mother was fading bad at week...

    SIP thread -- (Sub-Irrigated Planter)

I got some leaf droop a week ago, which was about the time I dimmed the light last time I grew this strain. It perked back up after dimming to 75%, and after a few days it did some minor (so far) foxtailing. It didn't do that last time, but its living conditions are significantly different. I...

    SIP thread -- (Sub-Irrigated Planter)

I almost covered it like that. I am in a dryish climate, so I rely on the plant and soil to humidify my tent. It works fairly well, but this plant is really bushy and I started having some humidity problems. I put an extra fan and increased passive intake, which worked. If it didn't, my next...

    SIP thread -- (Sub-Irrigated Planter)

Kinda looks like it, yeah. Mine is doing the same thing! I'm not sure if that's bad or good, but I need a couple/three more weeks before it's ripe. Looks like you might be in a similar situation.

    SIP thread -- (Sub-Irrigated Planter)

I've been mulching with trimmings and also with fresh alfalfa. I vegged it outside over the summer, then repotted from 5G to 15G and brought it inside right as pistils started showing (Aug. 22). Rebalancing the bugs has been a challenge, but it's coasting now. Been top dressing with 4-4-4...

    Does freewill exist?

Looking into the past, all is determined. Looking into the future, nothing is determined. The all-encompassing present is all we have, and it is rife with cause and effect. Predetemination and free will are expressions of present perspective. An argument can be made for each, and neither is...

    COVID

Like no one knew that lighting something on fire and inhaling the scalding ash might be deleterious.

    SIP thread -- (Sub-Irrigated Planter)

I love this thread and hate when it drops off the first page! I haven't really posted here, but my setup might qualify. It's a hybrid of a wicking bed and a bottom-water. So there are four inches of river rock in the bottom of the 15G pot covered with weed mat, then the pot is filled with...

Do You Still Need A Final Flush When Organic?

I keep wondering and no one answers: what is the best way to flush a no-till, organic, living soil SIP? And how do I keep the soil from continuing its stubborn delivery of nutrients to my plant?!? :D

Last Week or Two Flowering, Flush??

I just gotta figure out the best way to flush my SIP.

    Happy thread :)

Very nice. Made me think of this.

    Mars TSW2000 Question.

I have that light. I don't remember there being different modes, just a dimmer. Regardless, I want to warn you. It's a powerful light. I have only grown two hybrid strains with it, but if I keep the light even slightly closer than 24" from the top of my canopy, I have light problems (at 100%)...

    Grow-A-Long with Dick

I manage canopy and prune/defol about as well as you. I'm growing this bagseed clone for the second time. It looks better than the first time I tried. Fighting some mites with citric acid, but they're causing minimal damage so far.

    A SIP to Mars.

I looked into this, but I'm just going to temper my air instead (I'm more worried about roof snow melting since I vent to my attic). This link is for a setup that looks effective for its cost. https://www.instructables.com/Air-heat-exchanger-Made-from-soda-cans-and-pvc-pip/

How do you like to dry and cure your buds?

Thank you for this. I am new, but have wondered. Once the RH is 60-62% (and stable), what is the point in burping? It's "curing," right? I can get a stable RH in my drying tent with a humidifier. Unless something is going on chemically, I think I'll follow xtsho's lead. Also, gonna try dry ice...

    Garden under the sea

I read that you don't like the peat so much, and I see you have some Glenlivet there. It's my favorite. Would it be a safe assumption that the other two whiskys you pictured are as low on peat?
