EFs R&DiY LED, Circuits, Arduino, Hot Peppers and more thread

Its ok we have be sitting on a few runs of trim/sugar leaves so the machine will pay for itself with the first days use and I will get my freezer space back. Most of these <$100 ones I'm finding are around $60 minimum to ship it to me, Also I would have to pay for import and currency...

    DiY LED - Cree CXA3070

I'm using the HLG-185H-1050B with 4 CXA3070 per driver, I know I could run 5 but it just worked out that I have 4. I was worried about driver efficiency from only running 4 instead of 5 cobs since that is less than 80% of the rated load. After seeing supras tests I now know that the difference...

EFs R&DiY LED, Circuits, Arduino, Hot Peppers and more thread

I just noticed that you can get this one from the same seller as the machine, you can probably save by shipping them together. http://www.ebay.com/itm/220-micron-zipper-bag-for-5gal-machine-bubble-now-magic-bubble-bags-/330928279403?pt=US_Hydroponics&hash=item4d0cdccf6b

EFs R&DiY LED, Circuits, Arduino, Hot Peppers and more thread

That is exactly what they are, the one we got even came with the original washing machine instructions. I was debating on getting a new 220 bag as mine is 12 years old and unusable or the machine with the zipper bag, this was definatly the better choice. My 7 bag system is in decent condition...

My buddy brought home a present today, a brand new 5 gallon BubbleNow machine. :hump: http://www.bubblebag.com/bubblenow.php Its 225$ US if you buy it online, but if you go into the store here you'll get it for 225$ CDN which is a great exchange rate. I knew this before I sent my buddy in but...

Commercial COB lamp, Optic - Vero 29

I would drill a bunch of intake holes in the lid above where the heatsinks are (similar to SDS V-Series) and set both fans to blow out. I thought of using those same cases with V29s to make some panels for someone but decided to go a different route. Small Case Large Case

DiY LED Grow Lights with CREE CXA3070 COBs and CPU Coolers

you will probably get better results with the vero29 than you will with the z2 3070 here some #'s courtesy of @SupraSPL The v29 has about 4% better performance at 1.4a and I believe is cheaper.

Your CXA3590 Mission Should you Choose to Accept It !

"Do as I say not as I do" I am notorious for working with live electricity and have zapped myself numerous times throughout my life. Recently I was working with a live fasttech open style driver and it blew up in my hand, sparks flew everywhere freaking out my buddy. I have been conscious to...

    DiY LED - Cree CXA3070

    I posted par #'s of a 2'x4' setup with ( 8 ) 3070's @1050ma. http://rollitup.org/t/efs-r-diy-led-circuits-arduino-hot-peppers-and-more-thread.840144/page-3#post-11028108 You might be able to get away with ( 4 ) vero29s @ 2100ma but I think it better to have more driven at a lower current for...

So I planted this back in March outside, life was tough for it outside. I started a little early and it was too cold for all the seedlings and out of 12 this was the only survivor. After a few months I realized that there was no way this plant was going to survive through to harvest in my...

    DiY LED - Cree CXA3070

I just posted in the ...all things vero... thread about the new Mean Well NPF drivers, they offer higher amperage which would be good for the vero29 and cxa3590 NPF-120-42 NPF-120D-42 (3-in-1 dimmable) NPF-90-42 NPF-90D-42 (3-in-1 dimmable)

The BML bar should work just fine but if you dont want to solder you can always get some led star holders. There are some in the link below but I'm not sure what specific one would work, that depends on what stars you get. I have seen @Positivity using solderless ones in his setup so maybe he...

    ...All Things Vero...

The spec sheet says 130V but the website says 300V, I wonder what is up with that? It's a pretty big difference. Also I just noticed a new driver from Mean Well that will power the Vero29 @ 28-42V 2.9A (NPF-120-42), no one seems to stock them yet. There is also 25-42v 2.15A version...

    Heatsinks for DIY LED lamps

I unplugged the fans and let the heatsink temperature stabilize for a few hours (I forgot), ambient was .5 degree higher @ 23C and the heatsink was 36.4C (about 11C increase) at the hottest spot I could find with the IR thermometer. I'm sure I could run passive with those temps. But like I said...
