There is alot of poor info about flushing. You seemed to have absorbed it all and you are missing the point. When flushing, you are flushing the nutes from the soil, not the plant itself. After the excess in the soil is removed, only the plant stores are left for the plant to use up til harvest...

Best reason for flushing is to remove excess chlorophyll before harvesting. Having more present, after harvesting, than can be broken down during the cure, will leave buds harsh and less flavorful. This is the why you should flush. Even organic growers!

I have a couple small cabinets that I grow in, so it can be easy to control the enviorment. But also less transpiration, with smaller plants. Also matters a little less because I want/need them to be short/stout. So if it drops a bit and they slow down, especially with some strains, its fine by me!
