The new QB 648 Diablo from Horticulture Lighting Group

Bingo The light is so intense we wanted to add just a bit more blue to push the stomata open. Unfortunately you couldn't underdrive 2700k 90cri enough to even approach the photon efficiency of the diablo board as is. I've done extensive research on the subject. Of note though Samsung is...

    Lukios Secret Garden pt II

It has to be nutrients too. Try optic foilar spray. They will pray every time. Another foilar that causes them to pray is liquid light by Dutch master. Just an observation. I also agree blue forces stomata to open. Hence we went slightly cooler on the 650R/QB648+......

    DIY with Quantum Boards

We are training additional staff as we speak to offer all kits pre assembled including Diablo. The difference will be the Diablo will only available pre assembled. It will be a nominal charge. We are working on a solution so we can offer the Diablo in DIY once again.

All COB Users - Lettuce Grow Challenge!!

You may need to school me on the seeds to buy. Got a 4x4 set up now with the hlg 225 for flowering hemp on an experimental 18/12 flower cycle. I'll transplant them this week and start doing updates on the youtube channel. I'll try my best to do a lettuce grow as well.

You are correct..... Writing this stuff a little tired. None the less the red photon is lighter in energy of course. I guess you get the overall drift..... Lol

    DIY with Quantum Boards

So the blue spike is unconverted. The more conversion you have the more electrons turn into heat. The photon turns into electrons through phosphorescent. Some of those photons recombine to make a photon that has less energy(shorter wavelength). Each photon is it's own subsystem so any electrons...

    DIY with Quantum Boards

It has more to do with how many photons remain blue vs shorter wavelengths. Think energy lost in conversion is now heat. So even if the identical amount of photons are emitted the cooler cct will run cooler as it has had less of the blue photons "stripped " of energy.

The led is the same in each cct. The difference is the phosphorus mix.

    DIY with Quantum Boards

I have a question. Let's say I have 2 boards 1 in 3k and the other in 5k...... If I place enough LEDs on each respective board to achieve a theoretical efficiency of 2.7 umol/j will they run the same temperature at the same wattage ? If not why?

The new QB 648 Diablo from Horticulture Lighting Group

The 648+ datasheet is completelywrong lol. That one shouldn't even be published lmao. It says 3500k we are using 4k lmao. I will have them send the correct one soon.

Let me check we should be posting a link to the Samsung datasheet soon.

The new QB 648 Diablo from Horticulture Lighting Group

12" or so. Very similar to bar style lights in spread..... Just higher efficiency than most and lower cost.

The new QB 648 Diablo from Horticulture Lighting Group

It will be more along the 288 lines but b.c will have more monos. Unfortunately the cost of the white LEDs I'm going to use is pretty high and they do not gain much efficiency under driving them. This should be a super nice spectrum.

The new QB 648 Diablo from Horticulture Lighting Group

Both are around the same voltage but are in fact different at any given current. One should only run the 2 different board types in series on a constant current driver. The problem would be if there is indeed 1VF difference, the lower voltage board would be a current hog. So the current on the...

The new QB 648 Diablo from Horticulture Lighting Group

Samsung has really helped on the pricing here. Yes we can make in house and save a little but it's not as big of a difference as one would think in our volumes.

The new QB 648 Diablo from Horticulture Lighting Group

We are letting Samsung produce these boards as our line stays running 2 shifts 5 days a week now. Adding capacity is not just a flip of a switch unfortunately. Lead time on another pick and place is about 20 weeks minimum. Samsung's quality control is second to none in my opinion so I have no...

Is the 650r worth the price?

Exactly Furthermore sphere test the DE and SE at the end of the first flower cycle. Then average what the plants received the first run alone. The SE will be down some 8-10%. The DE will have lost 5%. In DE's defense it does settle in after that losing about 1% per flower cycle from there...

    Powering LEDs

A Titan controller would be one of the safer options as far as being sure the lights go out when they are supposed to. Some controller rely on a wireless signal. This can lead to a single light not getting the message if you will. This could be bad during flower. That's why we promote a wired...
