Will I Run Out of Room?

Stretch will usually last around 2-3 weeks from flip; although some strains might stretch for around 4 weeks max. Hopefully they're almost done. If not then LST (too late to supercrop or top now). Also consider removing some fan leaves if you think the foliage is too thick. 2-3 weeks would be...

just introduced 1000w hps week 4 flower growth stopped dont look right please help

Damn that carpet looks comfortable  imagining walking on it barefoot... would be shame to spoil it  Anyway checking your last thread you have some nute burn for sure which has progressed. The clawing could be N toxicity or overwatering (or both). I can't figure out what nutes you...

    I have a confession...

The problem with autos is there is no room for error. If everything goes well they can be amazing... but just 1 little error can knock them a couple weeks off schedule which hurts massively. I think it's almost obligatory for a new grower to do a photoperiod strain run just once to get things...

Best watering setup for 1 month vacation?

Only vegging would be viable for a 1 month holiday while growing in coco, forget about flower really. My 6x 8.5L autopots drink around 20L per week. My 47L res lasts around 2 weeks before I refill (drinking around 500ml per day each is about right). If you had a 150L res you'd stand a good...

    Temperature problem with CXB Cobs

Your conversion from m to ft is off. 1.2m = 4ft (not quite but close enough) Then 1.2x1.2=1.44 sqm 4x4=16 sqft 1.44 sqm = 15.5 sqft (close enough) If you converted m to ft properly then you'll get everything to match up perfectly.

    Temperature problem with CXB Cobs

Say your COB produces 2 umol/watt. And running 10 COBs at 50w each (numbers plucked out of my head). You have 500w in total. And 500x2=1000umol/s. That is your total PAR output. If you want to know ppfd you need to figure out your total area in square metres. So 1.2x1.2m=1.44m. Then divide your...

Day 35 for the VC/PAK. I call this tent the jungle  The negative pressure from the extractor fan was sucking in the walls quite a bit. I'm probably loosing around 10% of the tent area at canopy level... so I did some research on how I could steal the area back without using a rigid...

China is making Cree CXB3590 now

Lol, I doubt I'd buy one. I am already committed to my lighting plan. It's just for curiosity really. They are likely using low bin COBs to shave a bit of extra money off the price too.

China is making Cree CXB3590 now

They're running them near max wattage (which is understandable). I have asked whether they can swap the 6 light unit's 600w driver with a HLG-320h for a custom order.

    Temperature problem with CXB Cobs

Yup... and this would suggest you get almost a 25% increase in photosynthesis going from 25C/77F to 30C/86F under the same lights. Although there's more to growing than just photosynthesis rates. Mold/Budrot/Rootrot/Pests could easily wipe out any advantage higher temps offer on...

    Temperature problem with CXB Cobs

This is an interesting topic. I have a FLIR camera and have used it to check my canopy temps. You are right in saying canopy temps under LEDs may well be below what you'd expect. I'm only using cheap chinese COBs so the effects might well be more pronounced with top spec lights. Anyway I've...

    24H timers constantly failing!

What are you using the timer for? HID lights require a large load (upto 10x their continuous load) to spark up. So your 600w light might use 6000w for a fraction of a second to light up. This will weld the contacts together if your timer cannot handle the load and it just stops working. To get...

lol thanks :D Now on Week 5 (Day 35 since flip) These are the 4 Pineapple Express girls: The 2 Blueberry are too big to get a shot of without going round to the other side of the tent now :o I'll try and get a shot later in the week... Here's one of the PEs (don't mind the wind burn from...

I agree the LED sub forum is filled with little diamonds but also has some ego mixed in. If you're critical of everything you read you can still get a lot out of it. There's nowhere else on the net with as much technical info on grow lighting IMO. A 100% efficient 3500k LED would emit 324...

http://www.tastyled.com/ http://www.pacificlightconcepts.com/shop/ They're available but expensive which is why you probably haven't seen them around much. My intention is to have a total of 3600w of COB top lighting. If I wanted to have that pre-built it would cost $725 for a 320w unit...

    Best dry Veg nutes..

The first one is better suited to coco but appears to be a non-coco specific hydro formulation as it doesn't quite have enough Ca still. Coco reacts with the Ca and makes it unavailable for the plants which means you need significantly more in your nutes to stop you getting a deficiency. For...
