    ...All Things Vero...

I had one of my pico connectors break. Didn't notice it until I made some adjustments and went to reconnect it and the plastic had broken into 2.

    285w LED box

Seems a bit much to me but as you said you can turn some of the COBs off(can you dim as well?). 15"x24" = 2.5 sqft. Either way, 115 or 96 W/sqft is crazy high for any type of lighting especially with minimal vertical space. Is that 2' of vertical space from the top of totes to the COBs? Since...

    285w LED box

I'm a bit confused. Are you saying you are going to be running ~115 W/sqft ?

    DIY CXB2530 3000K 80cri U2 bin (Vero Killers!)

It depends on what your goals are. I originally considered the 2530s for my build but the extra ~16% efficiency, availability of different color temps( I decided on 4000K for reduced stretch due to my very minimal available height) and the relatively small increase in price, compared with the...

Building a DIY Flowering Light - 100W COBs and 3W LEDs

I don't mean to burst your bubble but why are you set on LED? Since your goals are cheap and efficient, LEDs are currently not able to meet those two requirements. A HPS, IMO would be best suited here(if you want to stick to a $350 budget for 12sqft) .

    DIY COB reflectors

Mouser raised the prices on the Angelina reflectors. Never had an order arrive in less than 24hrs to from US to Canada, great service. The ledil reflectors are pretty expensive for what they are but should last a long time and make for one efficient light.

    DIY COB reflectors

They don't make it as simple as they could. On the link I provided the top row(blue) gives you the required adapter, since it looks like you want the Angelina reflector you are looking at the IDEAL 50-2100AN adapter. 19 of 55...

    DiY LED - Cree CXA3070

Seems like an expensive, complicated way to wire up 10x COBs. I would look at the Meanwell HLG series. They have much higher efficiency, support dimming. The only downside is the higher voltage(increases electric shock risk).

DiY LEDs - How to Power Them

I'm considering 6x CXB2530 running off a HLG-120H-C700. The constant current range says 215V max(240V for overvoltage protection). I'm right on the edge depending on what Tc I end up getting( I will be using a very oversized heatsink). This allows a Vf of 35.8 per COB which at a Tc of 25 looks...

Who has bought from Kingbrite Technology Co?

Thanks Greengenes707, The only thing that has me slightly wary is as I mentioned the boost in output >700nm. Obviously we're looking at very small percent differences but it's useful to have a complete understanding of what we are supplying to our plants.

Who has bought from Kingbrite Technology Co?

I'm still struggling with how you determined that the 90CRI are more efficient than 80CRI. Do you have numbers that show PPF of both spectrum's?

Who has bought from Kingbrite Technology Co?

alesh, I was wondering if you could provide more analysis on the CXB 90CRI. I'm trying to understand where these numbers(7% better efficiency with 90CRI vs 80CRI) are coming from. I see your post here that you compare the 80vs90cri 3k. I'm wondering if this excludes the >700nm light which is...

    Another Cree CXA3070 DIY Thread

Something definitely not right. Do you have a multimeter to check the current(& voltage)? Should draw ~65W+ depending on the efficiency of the driver.
