Using 4 citi 1212 3000k to Veg seedlings - not going well...

Check some of my posts in other threads, I listed out DLI amounts for different ppfd/hour measurements. Basically it is 275 ppfd for one hour to get 1 DLI. 12 hours of 275 ppfd net you 12 DLI. Do get a PAR meter, the lux conversions can be way off. FYI, short bushy plants come with their own...

What to put on these drivers?

They are pretty common in blurples. My experience with them has been very good. Once I mated them with Veros life was good. I tried to hunt them down a couple years back and found them on Alibaba express. If I recall they were about $8 USD a piece. They shouldn't be warm, the drivers anyhow...

What to put on these drivers?

@Randomblame nah, those drivers are fine at 66v. Those tureful/nl ones are bulletproof.

    Revegged autoflower

It is all normal, the plant will try to reveg if given the right conditions. Holds true for other flowering plants, cannabis isn't really any different.

Using 4 citi 1212 3000k to Veg seedlings - not going well...

Too much light. Seedlings can only handle 5-20'ish DLI after that they go all strange. This is actually where blurples are a better choice than high efficiency white. Once able to handle more light, move them back under the white light and after a few days of adjustment, they will be on their way.

What to put on these drivers?

Nah, Vero 29 'C' version are better. They will chug along at around 45w.

    LED light intensity

Ok quit fighting over which ice cream is the best flavor. So long as the end result is that all of the photons you can generate hit the plant then you are doing it right. Your plants will tell you if you are right or wrong. Not some internet forum. What works for me won't work for you. Why...

    LED light intensity

@Big Green Thumb - if you have a PAR meter, just spot measure at an angle roughly 90 degrees to the light source. Doesn't matter where the light comes from so long as it hits the leaf. 400 is fine. Anything over 200 will produce fine. It depends more on DLI which can be adjusted via lights on...

    LED light intensity

Nope. Half the power, you can expect 50-65% of the ppfd. If you need a reference, go check out the Bridgelux simulator spreadsheets.

where do all the companys like mars hydro, spectra, get the cases made?

That depends. I have a setup where it is necessary to keep the cobs close together for best coverage. For a flat horizontal canopy, sure, spreading out that LES is the best bet.

    LED light intensity

Not necessarily a 50% drop in uMols. Depending on LED quality, halving the electrical power will only reduce the light power 35-45% which is why we run them low for better efficiency. The diagrams are just simplified to show the value of light source distribution. CoBs being high density can be...

    Cob grow vero and citezen

Retrofitting works well if you can get the units cheap enough. Case, drivers, fans, then add your own cobs. Which kind of drivers did your 6 cob units come with?

Which Cob is best for growing?

Best is a subjective term. Bridgelux Vero 'SE' line are nice because they have poke in connections making it easy to swap them in and out for example. They also publish performance numbers and have handy spreadsheets.

    LED light intensity

Well it is by definition an exact science. But I understand the point you are trying to make. You could avoid using a PAR meter entirely and read the plants, but for newer growers they just don't have the experience and could use a little guidance and all the help they can get. You can avoid...

    LED light intensity

This is why a PAR meter is necessary. Too many things involved easier to just take a measurement at the leaf. You should only expect light planning to bring you within 10-15%; the remaining improvements you can get from other techniques like LST.

60-80vf drivers to replace burned out ones in led t5 lettuce lights

I have had 2 out of 7 meanwells go on me. Cheapo 50w chinese nl/tureful drivers I have had 1 only out 85 fail. Even one I stepped on by accident still works.

Check ali. I got a bunch of 50w 700ma drivers for a good price. Remember to haggle.

    Ca deficiency?

Going with the 3 weeks from finish, looks like they are just dying off as normal. Reclamation/decay that starts at the tips and works its way back is usually the plant moving mobile elements to upper leaves.
