    Big Time Products

I've taken a couple chemistry classes in college. Big deal, I know, but nutrients aren't rocket science. ahhh marketing at its finest - Jiji

    Perma Clone Neoprene Collars

Umm whatever. I guess the ezcloner ones are soft. I've bought different ones over the years and el cheapo colored ebay ones. I guess the firmer ones don't stretch out as much, but thats only when your growing larger plants than your average clone. - Jiji

Ro/Di to use Di or not?

the 5-10 ppm is not necessarily sodium, at least thats my understanding. These are plants not tropical fish, but reefer forums seem to have the most knowledgeable people. The ph buffering of low ppm water is super low. Don't sweat it. - Jiji

Ro/Di to use Di or not?

do not use di, unless you want to waste money. Has been covered. - Jiji

    Perma Clone Neoprene Collars

I just use normal neoprene collars. Throw them in a laundry bag, and throw it in the clothes washer with bleach. - Jiji

    AC Help

There's a few ways you can cool it, without the condenser freezing up. Also your pushing the limits of a single mini-split. I'd look into multiple splits or central ac and air handler. - Jiji

    200 sq ft basement build

I think your making it it too complicated. Too many fans carbon filters. Too many lights, and hvac equipment etc. You don't have that much room to work with for that much stuff. I would think smaller, and if you want to do sealed do it all together. One CO2, one AC and one dehumidifier in...

    Dehumidifier question

I'm pretty sure there is nothing special about the dehumidify mode of a mini split. Correct me if I'm wrong but this feature must only be on inverter models. Instead of running full blast say part of the time to reach a rated temp... it will run at a lower speed for a higher duty cycle. - Jiji

    Mini split questions?

Heat build up in attic can be a bad deal. Mini splits are the way to go. For stealth I've seen people get creative and put multiple condensers under exterior porches behind lattice. High temps usually equal diminished THC. Some strains are affected differently. - Jiji

    Solar panels

Except for that system wouldn't come close to supporting your grow independently from the electric company. Although it would nice to offset your bill. - Jiji

    10x10 with 4xGavita 1k DE

The standard reflectors do not have that footprint. Or a square or rectangular footprint. They are designed to be overlapped. I never really looked at the newer reflectors but you should contact gavita. It wouldn't be like you planned. - Jiji

    10x10 with 4xGavita 1k DE

Well, ok you're right with the height. With 8 ft ceilings you should have around 4ft plant height. Which is no problem if doing sog, but can hamper other plans. The heat, how could 1000 watt hps be significantly hotter than another brand 1000 watt hps? It would have to be significantly...

    Solar panels

100,000k plus The op said off grid, and the way I read it he said he has 16kw in lighting alone. Not that he wants to get 16kw in panels. A 16kw grow facility requires a shit load of electricity more than 16kw. This is out of my expertise but I have read up on solar, and plan to get a small...

    Solar panels

I went to school for engineering as well, but you don't sound like an engineer. I don't even want to think how much a solar array off-grid for that setup would cost. You cold easily figure this out with online calculators, or when you're willing to spend a chunk of change like the 100,000...

    Silencing a Centrifugal Fan

I never got the bungee cord thing, because a good fan is well balanced. Your fan isn't a centrifugal one. Try using a variac (a good one isn't cheap though) to slow down the fan, ofcourse this will be less flow but it sounds like you don't need that much. - Jiji

    New House, New Grow! Suggestions?

I use a couple 39x10 carbon filters on a much smaller grow. They work well but aren't magic. Save up for a twister t4 minimum. - Jiji

Hydro or Aeroponic in Greenhouse indoor?

Excessive amounts of ozone will make some nutrients fall out of solution. I'm no expert on it, just read that in a few places. I'm not really familiar with anyone doing it commercially for any hydroponic crop. I've used ozone gens in the past. They definitely didn't kill spider mites. I've...

    Ozone gen or negative pressure

imho I wouldn't use Ona if it was given to me. Its like spraying air freshener in a stinky bathroom. - Jiji
