    VPD thread..

I have seen quite a few peoples grows in my med state. Usually they are growing for themselves and its a very poor area so people don't have the greatest equipment. Or much equipment lol. Most don't have dehumidifers or even carbon filters. And if they have an A/C unit its a crappy wall unit...

    Best Carbon Scrubber Deal?

Generally I'd say slightly oversize what your fan is rated at. That reminds me someone recently told me that over sizing your carbon filter makes it filter less and smell more. .........Ah the internet, I'd really like to understand that reasoning because it makes no sense. I've never...

    Homemade Water filter??

What'd you'd be making is called a camper/rv filter. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Camco-Water-Filter-with-Hose/14504321 I suppose its good if you have a known healthy water source thats potable, and you want to have a neutral taste when you drink it. For anything else, its a lost cause. - Jiji

    Inline fans, hyper fan?

hyperfan = made in China Are you sure they say that? Carbon filters are rated at the MAX air flow the filter can acceptably scrub the air. I usually don't pay much attention and just buy an oversized carbon filter for my fans. For instance I'm using two 39x10 phat filters rated at 1400cfm...

My new grow room plans with 3d images

6k in flower is a lot for a family One tip is at least in flower, fill out your room with light. Evenly distribute it across the room, orca is better but poly is ok, and account for wall reflection. Your lights will always be in one position, no need for adjustable pulleys, those are pretty...

My new grow room plans with 3d images

I would not want to manage that grow. Quarters are too tight. You'd have to rotate things around like a sliding puzzle. No need for special drywall or insulation. 5/8s and fiberglass insulation. so much veg light You might be able to operate competitively if your first in the game, but...

If its that big of deal, why the hang up on MH? I mean they have some benefits, but they are not required at all for a good grow. - Jiji

Hot restrike doesn't matter for gavita double ended hps. Not sure what others though. I had one of those cap 15 minute delay timers. I'm pretty sure it broke like every other Cap thing I owned. - Jiji

Best, Cheapest Set-Up for 120sqf room

Best money spent will be on a mini-split. Focus on buying 12-24k depending on lights and location. Don't skimp on that. You can pretty much skimp on anything else and upgrade later. - Jiji

Help please :)-Grow room temperature control

I think you need to re-think your whole setup. Sounds way to complicated. Its not easy drawing cold air from outside. At that temp, anything the air touches will cool the object to below the dew point, causing condensation. - Jiji

    Curious about your energy use.

Most likely 10 percent more Stuttering is most likely normal. I think it was mentioned before but you should buy a device like a kill-a-watt if you really want to be meticulous. Look at your grow overall for energy savings. For instance some people constantly bring in cold air, and use a...
