    Ebay cob panel

Ok, let me put it like this... Just because you've only been banging 6's your entire life, and you finally get an 8, that doesn't mean she's a 10. We have the unique opportunity when advising someone before they spend money. And if the cost difference is negligible to minimal, why settle when...

Yeah, best use of HPS is vertical. Anything else is a waste of time, imo.

LED Grow Light Review & Comparison

That's fine. Those are junk lights, and you've got reviews and opinions of people who have bought those in the past. I find it laughable that you'd call 90% of the RIU crowd stupid, as they've probably forgotten more than you'll ever know about this subject. 3W LEDs are a joke. Sorry if you...

    My 1000w Hps Killer

Happy to see you've come around to the correct way of assessing the value and results of a COB light. Looks pretty sweet, no? And the biggest improvement over the thouie is the spread, you're going to have equal intensity spread over the majority of the canopy, as opposed to one big hot spot and...

Prerequisites for a DIY LED build?

Makes sense to me! Sounds like you know what you need for your space.

Prerequisites for a DIY LED build?

I don't think you need 16 3590s to cover a 3.5x3.5, do you? If cost is an issue, you can drive them harder and use less, and still be over 50% eff.

Will a MeanWell B series driver work without a dimmer?

I accidentally (or maybe I didn't have the option) ordered a B series driver, so I've got cables that will go to a POT for trimming. My question is, will this driver work without anything wired there, or do I have to go find a 100k pot to finish this?

Prerequisites for a DIY LED build?

You should be fine. Sounds like you have a little less experience than me, but this isn't rocket science. There are only two things you really need to power. The driver for the fans and the driver for the COBs. Do your research - Figure out what space you're working with, figure out which design...

Q and hopefully A about my new led light

You'll just need the odds and ends. Some wago lever nuts, 18ga wire, something in mind to connect the fans together, etc. I'm not exactly up to speed on the 3590 specs, as far as their PAR coverage. When I was doing my research, the 3070s were top dawg. I've got to go back and study it. What...

    Led Wattage

English is such a weird language. Lasagna and bologna don't rhyme? What? As to the OP - I'd say no way, based on the limited info you've presented.... Which, as jacob pointed out, you're leaving a lot of relevant info out... Size of space? Size of plants? 100W isn't cutting it, imo. In a 4x4...

Wiring help please- super basic/basic level

No, you'll have to get a power input. I used a Schaffner EMI filter. Also - I used this for ease of wiring fans - http://www.frozencpu.com/products/23519/ele-1299/4-Pin_PWM_Power_Distribution_PCB_4x_Way_Block_MMT-PCB-4P-44P.html

Help me build a large CXA3070 Rig

I haven't put it together yet. I've got to acquire a couple tools to finish the build how I'd like. I decided to go the fence post route. I also still need to grab a molex adapter to power the fans. Pics to come.

Help me build a large CXA3070 Rig

You can create a dimming circuit with anything, really. If you want to dim, I'd recommend getting a fan controller like this - http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/381348892665?ul_noapp=true&chn=ps&lpid=82

    The far red thread

I'm running a 730nm flower initiator that turns on 5 minutes before lights out and goes 5 minutes after the lights turn off. Seeing as it was my first run, I don't have any results to compare with, but the Purple OG I was running started showing amber trichs at 7 weeks and the SFV OG (can go...

Imo, it's better to get something that's rated higher than you need and run it low, than get something that's going to be running hard to keep up.

Proof led lights work 2x2 tent Skush

IMO, that's a decent light, but you overpaid to cover a 2x2.5 You could build a COB fixture that would cost around $500 and probably have very similar results while being more efficient. Also, I believe that's a bit bigger fixture than you need for your space.

    IlovePlants: Welcome to my garden

Yep, that's where the Vortex I've seen has come from! I'm in MI though, so I'd have to talk to my friends out that way to see what's going on over there. From what I'm told, the GDP/C99 was lost about 3 years ago, along with a really awesome Grape Stomper cut (finished like red wine on the...
