    Active hydroponic disaster prevention

The only thing worse than losing a crop to pump failures is having a pump failure because a fitting blew out and emptied the entire res on your floor. 30 gallons on your floor sure is a bitch, so make sure you use hose clamps and tighten them down. I avoid the nylon clamps now since that's what...

    2018 Abrogate Michigan Language Draft

Are you for real? This has nothing to do with "believing the opponents". He raised many good points, like myself (who you chose to ignore), and this is how you respond? How do you expect anyone, especially the general public, to to take you seriously when you respond to questions and concerns in...

    Help! is this wind burn?

Everything looks good, ime it's almost impossible to have too much circulation in your tent - this is not to be confused with ventilation though, you can definitely be recycling air too much. I have never experienced wind burn from fans within my tent, and I keep 2 6" oscillating fans above the...

    Help! is this wind burn?

I have never heard of anyone keeping positive pressure in their tents like he suggests. If you are using a carbon filter you will most certainly need to maintain at least a very slight negative pressure to ensure smell doesn't leak. If you are using a passive intake and the vacuum is too great...

When do you start day 1 of Veg?

I'm always baffled why people count the days of veg. I just grow out the clones until they fill out the scrog and then flip. If they are not being scrogged or trained I flip based on height/bushiness and call it a day. I don't understand why some people veg for specific amount of days and then...

Reducing odor while using environmental controllers?

Alright so recently I started using temperature and humidity controllers to maintain a better VPD and have the healthiest plants possible. My main concern that I've noticed is that while the controllers do a fantastic job of maintaining the set points, I am noticing that at night once the temps...

    2018 Abrogate Michigan Language Draft

I think the idea is great, and certainly better than the other initiative, however, I see a lot of problems here. I'm seeing a lot of talk of "if we had this many people" and the like, but my question is, do you actually have that many? You say you are starting in eight days - do you already...

Why are my leaves dying from bottom up? (pics)

Hmm I don't normally notice this even when I have the dying crispy leaves. The last time I noticed this was when I had a plant with a nute lockout and once with root rot.

Dealing with low humidity in exhausted tents

Ah my bad, yeah switching over from the rdwc/uc system would he a huge task and a big loss of money. I've reduced my exhaust as much as possible so I'm looking into modifying the humidifier I have to hook up to a larger reservoir that way I can run it on high without filling it twice a day. I'll...

Sounds like your on the right track then. I love those fat 16" colas that each weight several ounces dry.

Dealing with low humidity in exhausted tents

Not sure I understand how that will help? If an entire full scrog of plants transpiring in an RWDC isn't releasing enough moisture I don't see how this would be any better? Yeah they look nice and the price is not bad compared to the stuff you find at the hydro stores.

Many thanks! I'll look that up.

Dealing with low humidity in exhausted tents

I don't have the ability to filter or exhaust the room the tent is in so I have to strictly go through the tents. Using a 6" fan with carbon filter the negative pressure was far too extreme and hardly any air was making it through the filter , and since it goes through three linked tents the...

Dealing with low humidity in exhausted tents

I think I'll look into a environment controller and try to modify my humidifier tank to hook up to a larger res so I don't have to fill it so often. Yes you read it correctly, I have two fans, an intake and an exhaust. The intake is pushing less air than the exhaust pulls. I went with this...

Dealing with low humidity in exhausted tents

Unfortunately that probably wouldn't work well here since we are dealing with outside humidity of between 65-85% so the AC is on very often and removing a very large amount of water from the air, and there's not really any way to run the AC without it drying out the basement as well since...

Dealing with low humidity in exhausted tents

Hmm that could be something to consider. What temp/humidity controller do you use for that, and can it control multiple fans? Right now my temps stay around 75-80 fairly consistently.

Why are my leaves dying from bottom up? (pics)

Yeah that sounds about right to me, I usually have crispy leaves above the screen by week 5-6. Usually by the time I have dead leaves above the screen there's around 16-18" of lush green canopy though, so it never really concerns me since any leaves that are 18-24" below the tops probably aren't...

Dealing with low humidity in exhausted tents

Alright so I'm looking for some input on raising the humidity in two 2x4 tents that are hovering in the mid 30% range. My problem is that with the house AC running so often during the hot summer weather the air is already on the drier side (45%), and even more dry down in the basement where the...

So I accidentally revegged for 2 weeks on week 8 of 10 week flower

What kind of light do you have these under and how far away is it? Even with it revegging for two weeks I've never seen a plant with so little bud development at eight weeks.

Why are my leaves dying from bottom up? (pics)

I get crispy dead leaves at the bottom of the canopy on almost every grow, but all the top growth is lush green and still finishes fine. My setup looks similar to yours with the scrog screen, and my dead leaves appear in the same areas down under the screen. Usually starts showing up near the...
