    when top.. if to top..

I would wait till the plant first starts to flower, look at the plant and work out if you top the plant, will you have a large full canopy, if you do, top the plant as low as you need to. The fuller the canopy the higher the yeild, you need to have shoots 10-12" long, green thick and heathy...

"Traditional" LST vs Main-Lining: Plant vs. Plant Showdown!

For newbie's main line will kick ass if done right every time, main-line is a simple way to lst and keep the canopy level, trim the fan leaves without knowning and only having a few strong shoots I do a very similar thing with my plants but have more control over the canopy shape and size so...

How to scrog up bushy nl#5xhaze girls?

Your scrog looks great. a long night sound a better way, alway have the lights on at night and let them sleep during the day, it keep the the temps good all year round If you go for a perpetual grow, exhaust the hot air from the veg room into the flower room, keeps the girls warm in the cold...

    is Thermawrap any good ?

I will have a look round, but the thing i like is its easy to use and you can get it in the grow room without anyone knowing, few staples and your done ( 4mm ) 8mm and 12mm would be difficult to staple, large rolls, hard to cut, don't really sound good to me

    Would this work?

could be right but the leaves will face the strongest/closes light, just think how much bud you can get in a 2ft thick canopy with light both sides :)

    vegging plants under 40w t5's

I break things down and try and keep it as simple as i can, I have read endless grow journals where growers veg under t5's with great results and the basic rule seems to be 1. keep the light 1-2" above the canopy 2. The plants can only use direct light from a t5 as its can only use the light...

To trim, or not to trim?

yer removing dead/damaged leaves is a good way to encourage heathy new growth

To trim, or not to trim?

gives the shoots more space and more air flow, you want as many tops in early flower as you can, when you turn the plants over to flower they will strech and you will have loads of even shoots

To trim, or not to trim?

depends on what you want, if you want very bushy plants, remove all the large fan leaves ( it will slow the plant growth down but the plant will grow very bushy) then you don't need to top, lst ect you will still get the same results

    Would this work?

thats a good point, why not keep the ideal the same but instead of a table use a screen, as you can tie the shoots down to the screen, lift the pots up so the tops level with the screen and put somthing under the pots so you can catch and remove any run off, this could turn into a really good...

    Would this work?

yes this would work really well, but don't think you would gain anything over a scrog as you would need to veg for longer
