Make sure you intake can isn't producing too much airflow. If the pressure in the tent is too high you will and up with air escaping the tent that is not going through the carbon

i run coco/peet blend, and sometimes dont bother flushing and my product always has white ash, if you are not over-fertilizing a flush isnt necessary and a shortened flush shouldn't even be noticeable.

nah, but some plants wont produce pistils until they start to flower in my exp. You will notice a plant is male before it shoots pollen if you are looking. wouldn't worry about it to much just start flowering and watch them and make sure each produces female flowers.

Ive grown multiple autos under 24/0 that is probably not the issue, probably bad genetics. Just buy a timer for like $5 lots of peeps recommend giving autos at least 4 hrs of darkness. And no that is not a male, that is a female that went hermy.

i would advise you to check for light leaks and make sure your timers are set correctly. it is rare that a plant will hermy that early in flower without some serious light stress.
