Hey Senile Fungus, is that a feminized plant, or are you just taking a gamble on it?

Well don't that beat all! That sounds like a good idea. My 'clones' all failed to launch 'cept for the two I had previously started in rockwool. Stems turned into limp spinach lookin' noodles with nary a tittle of a root hair.

Main reason is I have a ton of these barrels and wanted to give it a try. Originally I was going to try to keep everything contained in the barrel and truly make it stealth, but doing that didn't leave any room for a plant, lol! Stealth would have been nice but really wasn't necessary.

I reckon it's time to update this thread. Things have changed a bit on this grow. I ordered a 32x32x64 grow tent and moved everything in there except for my 2 little clones and a dwarfy plant which are now in the barrel. One of my plants may be dying. All of the fan leaves turned crispy...

Makes sense. I read that HPS bulbs don't perform as well if they are cooled off too much. Is that something to worry about with cool-tubes?

Thanks for replying. Before I purchased the cool-tube and fan, I thought the exhaust was going to be a lot hotter than it is. Kinda opens up more possibilities in the tent for me.

I'm currently pushing my intake through my cool-tube to avoid the extra heat going through my centrifugal fan. Is that a good idea? I've seen good arguments either way, just wondering if someone could give a definitive answer?

I have a question. When using a cooltube, is it better to push or pull the exhaust through the tube? Some say pulling heated air through the fan will shorten its life. What do you say?
