If he is running with tap water that is high then you would use the FloraMicro hardwater
If you run RO or your tap water has softer/lower ppms you would use the standard Trio
I paid around 400 for my 1/4 hp so you definitely got hit over the head a little, but its a great piece of equipment and worth every penny. Glad this thread gave the right information to somebody
I use a 1/4hp Active Aqua chiller. Definitely worth the investment. Originally used for a 13 gallon reservoir (overkill but still effective). I now use it on my UC6XL which is around 50 gallons. Works excellent
I use a UC6XL in my flower tent. I can tell you that even with the added oxygen you can easily get bacterial bloom even with a chiller. The blooms will be shown through an quick drop of pH
I have a very expensive and elaborate hydroponic setup and I still my nutrients simple. General Hyroponic Flora trio (Gro, Micro, Bloom) and some botanicare calmag...you can do bloom boosters but this base will work great
You can convert over. You were either taking that 780 reading on a x500 or a x700 scale. Either way you seem to be fine in terms of concentration. At this point in veg I would be using a 3-1-1-2 ratio in terms of FloraGro:Micro:Bloom:CalMag
