Pretty much what mine looked like. Those turned into new growth and later pistils. Give it a bit. If you see real balls then pull it.

I am assuming it, like everything, is strain dependent. However, how normal is it to be seeing trichomes early? Does that necessarily mean anything? I didn't expect them so soon. Tomorrow will be my 14th day of flower. They have had visual frostiness for 5 or more days.

I am also on my first grow and had the same issue. 1 of my plants showed several "crab claw" looking things and no pistils before my flip. She is now 1 of the strongest growers in there! Definitely keep and eye on it but know for sure before you toss it.

The waiting game on the first grow is terrible. I feel like i paid less attention to my own children when they were babies. :P

There is 7 in there. Only wanted 4 but who can toss out a pretty little girl?? I also flipped mine August 4th. Likely that it just has to do with whatever random strains we may be growing. They sprouted Jun 1st.

Is there a small viable dehumidifier out there that could be place in a tent? Or is it best to just get a large one for the room its in?

I've read and seen the banter for both of these things. Tough for a noob to grasp what would be best for them but it is quite amusing to see how heated people get.

I'm pretty sure it's not a mutation since it's an odd number of leaves. It just seems weird as the plant grew short and bushy with fat leaves at first. Now the leaves are thinner and have gone passed 9. I had assumed it was indica. It must have sativa hybrid at least a little.

Thoughts?

Being new to this I was fairly surprised that 1 of my plants has developed 11 fan blade leaves. I've heard of this before though. Does that mean its a sativa dominant hybrid? I've never seen a sativa that grew so bushy. Can indicas get more than 9 leaves?

Agreed. The stress of the first grow is like a parent with a baby for the first time. My wife says I spend more time with my plants than her. Lol
