You can keep a mother plant under 18/6 indefinitely. Your plant will be fine. The bigger you let it get in veg the bigger it will be in flower. As stated earlier, trim the tops back and increase yield.

I have no experience with cmh, so I don't want to give bad advice. My input of adding co2 was just trying to think outside the box. Using co2 you could use higher temps temps to your advantage.

When I made the switch to hydro I started with 12 site flo n grow system. 4 gallon buckets with 3 galln mesh baskets super easy and forgiving. Hydroton for a medium has a lot less pest problems than soil.
