    Greenpoint seeds!!

I did not receive any confirmation either and this is my first GPS purchase (April 29). The "ship to address" ( CO PO box ) showed on the page when I purchased. I did not take note to that as I thought I would receive an email so I closed the page. I could not find the address anywhere and no...

For a 5x5 you will probably want more than the 4 288's. Perhaps more like 2 320 kits ( 6 qb288 ) to start. This still may leave you a little short on watts per square foot unless driven hard. 9 QB 288 or QB96E would kill it ( 3 rows of 3 ) and you could dim down too which is key for warmer...

I use the HLG 240H C2100a ( same driver as HLG 260 kit ) in series for 2 boards. Dial the IO pot down. If you think you may ever add a 3rd board a HLG 240H 54A in parallel. The 54 volt driver you can add boards to. Lots of driver options on the HLG website. Look at the data sheets as well for...

Just ordered some Tomahawk and Iron Horse. Can anyone tell me what to expect out of these two strains? As well, any problems receiving package to Canada from GPS?

I am looking into a quick release system( from solid board cable to home run cable to driver ). I was thinking of those "spade connectors" but Wago's could work as well I suppose. Or even a electrical male/female plug. Has anyone had bad experience with Wago's being used for a quick release? do...

I am guilty of not complete my grounding. Since I have a HLG100 watt powering my middle board attached to the frame. I was planning on linking all the fixtures with a ground wire. I also scratch ( with sandpaper )my anodized heatsink a little and the frame to ensurer proper grounding. I was...

Thanks for the input. That wire looks good for the application. If my runs were longer or I have UV ( which could be in the future ), I believe this to be necessary. It would be about voltage loss for the distance I believe. My runs are 12'-14' long 18 gauge solid from driver. I found a Voltage...

Nice build, Good to hear you have had no issues for that amount of time. I had also looked at "Invertronics Drivers" which have a blue tooth app to dim. Apparently can schedule as well. HLG used this on the Elite360, at least the one sent out for testing. I was considering but I bought 4 hlg...

Don't sell your lights these are some of the finest on the market. You can control your heat as mentioned. Heat will be created from any quality light. I am not sure if you stated if plants were present or not but they will help cool the environment ( absorb heat ). What size is your tent btw...

I thought long about "a" vs "b" drivers. I was thinking on the line of auto dimming if high heat condition ( broken exhaust fan etc ) occurred. Or control of the external Pot with an app and have a camera on the heat thermometer for remote viewing. Someway to turn the light down remotely if...

You can dim the "A" type drivers by removing the black plug and turning down the "IO" "current" dial inside the driver. I have that same drivers and run them probably 1/2 - 3/4. There is a "Voltage" dial as well. My Voltage dial is turned all the way up. This driver runs those boards pretty hard...

To clarify the lower the gauge number the thicker the wire. Solid14 gauge is typically used in older homes and is quite rigid and thick compared to 18 gauge. Sadly it sounds like 14 AWG should not be attempted for use on the QB96E Molex. I would send an email and pic to HLG and get a proper...

Here is a picture of my 18 gauge solid copper. I find it not too rigid. Perhaps 16 or 14 gauge would be more of a problem. Personally I would minimize connections and just use solid. Edit: I only raise/lower my lights 3 or 4 time during a grow. THe rigidity of the wire never even crossed my...

Happy 420.. Don't use stranded wire into the Molex connectors on the board, use solid copper wire. I connected a tinted stranded wire from the driver to a board and it was a bitch to remove. THe Molex really grabs onto the edges. I had to remove the plastic on the Molex to remove strands of...

I have seen many reviews with HLG lighting etc and I have always wondered why some are handling/touching/tapping on the chips/boards. There are corrosive oils that come off your fingers. I handle electronics frequently and always handled PCB boards on the edges and preferably grounded. Why touch...

Was your problem driver mounted on your heatsink/s or remote to the lights? I assume your driver got hot to the touch as well ( too hot to hold onto )?

By chance was the driver that died ever mounted on top of heat sinks? Or did it run really hot for extended period over time? Just wondering as I heard someone else ( different forum ) had a Meanwell HLG go dead and it was the driver that was on top of a heat sink for some time. fyi my hlg...

Good choice. A lot if us use Megacrop as well for nutrients, Makes growing easy. THe "B" at the end of that "C1750B" number means you will need a potentiometer wired on the the leads for dimming ( external pot ). The "A' at the end "C1750A" would be a built in potentiometer for dimming. I prefer...

Your lowest cost solution will probably be the 120/132 boards as they do not require a heat sink. Look at the HLG website to find compliant drivers. There are many options at HLG these days depending on your style of grow. $175 is cutting it close. $200+ would be more realistic.

According to HLG website that will be wired in parallel. THeir 260 kit comes with a HLG 240H C2100a ( a = built in pot/dimmer ). There are a number of drivers available for use. One that dims is very useful. If you are going to purchase a driver the Meanwell HLG version would be a better fit as...
