I've done it a few times. The end result was never worth the extra time, effort and space involved imo. Lowers that lacked light the whole flower cycle won't ever fatten up.
That time is better spent on the next grow.
The really cheap meters don't even read a bucket of water as "wet". Just sayin'.
Below is the only "cheaper" meter that I found to be close to accurate. It takes a minute or two to settle, but it was pretty reliable.
Pressing the button makes it read ph which seems pretty spot on OR my soil was...
Okay, maybe you can be resident savior of those who try it here. They pop up regularly and disappear after failure.

The point of daily feeding is to replenish the nutrients taken by the plant and flush out what it didn't take. This means the plant never lacks anything.
