Perlite and vermiculite are polar opposite and should never be used together. Perlite is used in soil to help drainage. Vermiculite is used for the exact opposite reason, to retain water.

No, not any more. I've topped, I've super cropped, I've fimmed. Now I just let them grow naturally most of the time. . No matter what I did, the yield was pretty much the same. With those methods I got more buds, but they were smaller, so it all came out a wash for me.
